Hey I'm from Yvetot (between Le Havre and Rouen), so we're not too close, sadly.

    Great Army overall.
If I have one piece of advice, is to finish off that savage orc on the chimera.
The model looks really good, and its rarity can only add to your army's cool factor.
I don't play often these days and if I do it will only be in 'friendly' games where rules experimenting and unusual army pieces are allowed (often encouraged). I don't like how restrictive warhammer has become, and I don't like playing against people who will abandon common sense in favour of rules (which are written by imperfect people like you and me -often with less imagination than you and me- and not by divine beings whose word is law).
Last but not least, I really like the fur caped goblins, (and the bare breasted army of course)

Oh, I will finish that chimera some day, I put too much work (and money...) into it not to finish it at some point. I plyed it recently actually, but I used the wyvern stats, the only chimera rules I have (5th edition) are a bit too nasty, nowadays (6 S7 attacks!).
Anyway, thanks for the comments, they're always welcome

    remember the scorpion charriot thing?:

If you don't remember, it's just a "count as" wolf charriot, night goblin themed. The idea is that the gobs more or less direct the scorpion towards the enemy, then let it loose. The unfinished spider will have a howdah (sp?).

Well anyway, the whole scorpion model (so base, gobs, etc) had been repainted to fit the rest of the army:

I'm toying with the idea of making the scorpion red to go with the squigs... I might add mushrooms on it, in fact.

random musing: as you can see, I actually bougth 15 fanatics The one remaining will be converted as a great weapon bearer I think, he looks like he is swinging an axe or something.

Random musing: I'm painting my spider riders now... Ok, the gobs are easy, the usual stuff. But the spiders... I just don't know how to paint them. I wanted to have them with just red highlights, but I'm not sure it will do... bothersome ><

I still loves those bases and the chariot' fanatic gobbo is very well painted. the cloak is really good. As for your spiders, maybe try camoflauge them in with the base? Try a darker blue than the snow base, should contrast well with the green of the gobbos skin and red.

Camouflage won't do, I'm going old school for my gobs, I want them flashy, I want them to show
The spiders aren't going to go on mountain bases, it will be brown like the wolves. I'm not too keen on blue either, there's nothing blue in the army besides the stone trolls, it would just look too much out of place. Bah, I'll figure something out.

Ok, well i did my spiders red. Have a look in my log if you like, there are some pictures. They're not brilliant mind... but it would fit in with your squigs.

They look very good, imho. Anyway, I've decided to be lazy and just paint them black (similar to the night gob cloaks, if you want).

    The spiders being painted:

Well actually, the spiders themselves are done, just the riders left to paint.

The spiders look excellant. I did see a conversion where you clipped the feet off a night goblin from the BfSP box, moulded on some green stuff and used them to ride the spiders instead of the forest goblins. That would be in keeping with your theme right? I think the contrast between the green and the black is a little extreme in those spider riders. Just my opinion though.

Re: The Gut'Reapa' (orcs and gobs army, probably image heavy soon)

Nah, I'm not doing a night goblin army (it's just that I happen to be repainting all my night gobs first, coz they were a mess), my general (yet to be made) is a common goblin warlord, and I hope to field at least a couple common gob units some day. Night goblins are not the mainstay of my army. I'm also planning to get more spider riders (just the riders, not the spiders) off ebay, or, even better, old metal forest goblins, to make myself a unit of common goblins on foot out of them.
In fact, my friends and I like to take liberties with the rules, so I might actually play these "forest goblin warriors" using the gnobblar trapper rules.
Well anyway, no, I'm not planning to have night goblins riding spiders. I do have a dozen old metal cold ones that would make interesting mounts for night gobs, though (cold ones live in caves, right? )

Re: The Gut'Reapa' (orcs and gobs army, probably image heavy soon)

Oh yeah, also, this week, I bought the goblin boss on cave squig, and the smaller dragon from Confrontation:

I got them on the cheap, from a store that is going to close. That dragon has no arms, and a big sting at the end of its tail... what the hell could it be? Bingo, a wyvern
So there you go, my 3rd wyvern (if you count the chimera as a wyvern) Shame I don't see me ever using them all in the same battle
It looks gorgeous, but it's going to be a bitch to build...

edit: btw, fom the amount of replies I get, I would think that my stuff isn't so popular or anything, but I checked the number of hits this log has, and it's closing in on 8000 0.o I'm not exactly an attention whore, but I admit I don't get the disparity wbetween the number of views and the number of comments.
Is it because everybody is awe-struck and speachless in front of my army (that must be it!), or is it because it is completly uninspiring? xD

I think that Warseer has an inordinary amount of lurkers. Personally I don't feel like posting "Looking good" everytime someone posts something, I do it often enough.

    Those spiders are looking good.

I'm not gonna post anything about the new boxes, however, you're not that special in going out and paying for minis, it's the painting that's special.

Lol, I didn't want comments for the boxes (nor on the spiders in particular), it was just a silly trick to bump the log >> Just talking in general. Bah, matters little after all. Thanks, sir lurker who gave up on being anonymous to ease my concerns

That Rackman dragon looks cool , shame night goblins don't get to ride wyvern , otherwise i'd have a big boss on one. I too today purchased the Night goblin big boss on giant squig its agreat miniature, your army looks good nice mix of old and new models keep up the good work.

You know, that would make a cool rare unit: a wyvern with a hodawh and a collection of common goblins on it, ala stegadon, but flying
In fact, I've actually tried the goblin lord on wyvern (you could, in 5th edition). The result was not exactly impressive to be honest, lol.

That...would...be...wierd. Cool but wierd. Like half the rest of the O&G army.

And I really like the old school goblins. Brings me back to when I started with fantasy during 5th ed. Everyone I knew played orcs then, orcs and ultramarines. I've just recently got over my greenskinophobia from those days (still suffering from ultrasmurfophobia though).
