Very nice Trolls indeed ... I may have to borrow your brown scheme when I get to painting my own BfSP Trolls ...
Lol I didn't know about grumlok and gazbag 's fluff. I own the mini, and I thought the severed head was a goblin head.
I think the sculptor didn't respect the scale so that the mini is in match with the rest of the O&G range.
Visit and rate my fantasy log : A lot of green against a feeble mind
Models painted 2011= 45 / 2012 = 62 / 2013 = 7

Note that those are sold, they're cheap (the castle cost less than 20USD iirc), but not free.
His bulk already makes him rather unplayable, at least in a unit. I believe it's just that it would be damn expensive to make him to scale, he'd be as big as an ogre tyrant![]()

Use him as a Ogre Orc Maneater......
Also is the castle easy to transport?

The mini is too small for an ogre of any kind. It's really a missed opportunity, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with him, he's very wide, so he can't fit in a unit, he'd need a custom chariot to go there, and, well, he ain't so hot, the original idea is, but the mini not so much. Probably going to end up on a shelf to try and look badass while collecting dust.
As for the castle, well, it's cardboard so it's very light, everythng is separate parts, take the walls, the crenels are a separate part, the top platform of the towers are separate too, etc. But it takes room, the thing is very big, and to make things sturdy, there's internal supports in the towers, and the walls have a bottom, so you cannot cram stuff in them. plus it's cardboard, so it can be crushed during transport if you're not careful. So to sum up it's light but cumbersome to transport.

Right.
After many hours of getting my fingers glued together, drilling through my hand, consuming unhealthy amounts of coffee, formulating countless and varied curses, sacrificing a few kittens, nearly converting myself to the blood god, I can post that pic:
That's a gigantic spider. It is not painted, yet I am posting a pic of it. Because building it is already an achievement all by itself I believe. The god damned arachnid and its blood forsaken howda rank right up there with the scrap launcher for the most painstaking minis to build GW has released, if you ask me. Stupid howda with parts that don't fit together. Stupid pivots that are to thin to help, and too thin to drill through. Stupid spider! STUPID SPIDER!STUPID STUPID STUPID! STUPID SPIDER I HATE YOU!
I'm now off to smoke a cigaret, drink some more coffee, and probably have a good night's sleep. Not touching a GW mini again tonight.

I think you hurt the spiders feelings![]()

I must say that the spider looks awesome.
I can feel with you Urgat, how sweet is it to spend a night full of cursing and hurting yourself on a mini that looked so great on a picture.
But I believe you won't feel that way when you painted it and it's standing on your desk with full pride
You can do it!
Lol I can tell you how I'm going to feel already:
"Do I dare pick it up? Won't it fall apart?"
The spider contacts with the base thanks to the (extremely narrow) tips of three of its legs. I have no idea how I'm going to have it stand there w/o pinning it to the base, and I can't realistically pierce trhough the legs end because it'd show, and I'd surely beark those legs away, and it's troublesome to have to redo it again.
Not if you really hate spending hours drilling, pinning, bending stuff, and wondering why the hell they put numbers on only 3 of the legs, so you got to guess where 5 of them go.

Brilliant plog - have just enjoyed going through all 20 pages. Love all the old models you have, and the excellent job you've done on painting them :-)
Greenstuff some mud around the tip pf the feet touching the base?
Kinda like glue, but stronger... And grimy![]()

It should by all means cause Terror.
I have assembled the Spider, but only the legs, and it was annoying enough. I won't do the howdah as I bought it for Mordheim purposes, and it might be necessary for the Gobbo to dismount (or forcefully 'be' dismounted). Yes, it's a fun game.
The rest of the parts I will use for VC terrain. You can never have enough dead wood with random spider webs attached in a spooky forest.
Don't get me started on that topic
Anyway, thanks for the cheers, and comments.
Kraal: can't work, at least not easily: on the pic, you can see one of the three support legs. See where it contacts the base, right on the edge? it's no accident. On the other side, it's exactly the same. The other leg touches the base exactly in the edge of the base (third support leg is the one on the trunk).
This one is going to require some thinking. I could just pin it with a stick going from the base to the underbelly, but this doesn't feel very satisfying...

I placed a other goblin on top so that is not to bad, but yeah he is annoying to play with. Only 3 legs that are on the base. I still have a second one to glue/ pin.
Cheers,
