Nice painting. The bretonian castle looks awsome! How did your bro make it?

I'm the one who "made" it, and there's nothing very complicated about it:

It's just a cardboard castle, you print the sheets (it's pdf files), cut and glue. It's cheap, and looks way better than, say, the plastic castle from GW (and, yeah, the price simply don't compare).
Can be heavy on the printer though, so I just printed each part once, and had it photocopied multiple times in a store. It even has a working drawbridge, though I admit I didn't bother doing the mechanism.

Thanks.
Sadly, I've started working, and I have no time at all to paint these days, I barely even have time to check warseer, say, twice a week now, so I'm afraid this log is going to sink in the darkest depths of the forum for some time...

Hop, bumping that coz I have a question:
For the french people out there, or those who happen to live in Paris, do you know where I could get something cheap that would look good to use as snow to put on my bases? Cheers![]()

Hmm ... Belgian, and not living in Paris, but maybe some fine flour (farine bien blanche, tamisée) ?
Or some "bicarbonate de soude" (sorry, I don't know how to say that in english) ...
Cheers, I'll have to think about it.
Anyway, first pics in ages:
Yeah, a chaos dwarf. That's my new, secret projectWell I'm posting it here because I know my friends won't go on an english speaking forum, so yop. Want to pop up some day and place them on the table with an evil grin ("Where are your gobs mate?!?").
Anyway.
The skin tone is inspired from the Darkiron dwarfs in WoW, because I want them to look really evil, and dwarfs with just curly beards and tusks is just not enough.
ALso, I wanted to have the tall hats (at least for some units), while keeping a more current look. Easily enough, I just took the old minis, and painted them as the Heavy Metal team painted the hellcanon crew, more or less.
Anyway (yup, anyway again), it might be a bit bland, so I'm posting here for C&C.

It is a nice looking model Urgat, your opponents will be shocked when you put down an army of chaos dwarves instead of the goblins. Just like my opponents will be shocked when they don't see a greenskin army but a deamon army.

Lol, at least in chaos dwarfs armies one can find some greenskins. I don't know if you plan to use say black orcs in your army, but ou can start by deploying them first so your opponent thinks you play your usual army, and then continue by deploying some chaos dwarfs.
Visit and rate my fantasy log : A lot of green against a feeble mind

I think they are very cute! Though a bit not-green...
For good snow, check the fantasy tale thread, and ask Doi what he uses as snow. I think he has excellent snow on his mounted gobbo army.

Thank you
I'm going back to my parent's place this weekend. There I will pick up all my BfSP dwarfs, and there will be some converting soon
Still wondering if I can use the pony and the dwarf hero to make a bull centaur hero![]()

Tada! Update:
Finished painting SkullCrusherI'm not sure I'm gonna use the original crew for it though, they'd look really out of place compared to the other gobs. On the other hand, I'm thinking they might do good gnobblars...
Speaking about gnobblars (among others, here's what's next to come:
So gnobblar trappers (nearly done), the Final Five (squigs, though, not cylons), with some conversions so they look different coz they're all doublons, and one of the silliest minis GW as ever released: the shaman on wyvern. Even more silly considering than back then, shamans had to keep within 8" (iirc) of big orcs and gob units to be able to cast spells... It's up there with the dark elf sorceress on stupid cold one IMHO (though that one is worse if you ask me, since it's unfluffy to boot, afaik sorceresses are more or less linked to the cult of pleasure, and to ride a CO, you have to forfeit your touch and so on).
Anyway, that shaman will probably not see much battles, he'll be kept for large ones (4000+ probably).

Ah, sweet! Gnoblars. I also thought it would be cool to add a small tribe of gnoblars to my greenskin army (they are green afterall!), great to see you actually did so!
A shaman on wyvern might not be the most viable choice, but I do think it is a very cool one!
And maybe cool to field in a smaller (2000 pts?) game, where you go magic heavy (as far as an O&G player can...).
Something like: great shaman on wyvern, shamans on boars, wolf riders, boar riders and giants... Fast striking with lots of supportive magic.

Actually, no, it's for my ogre army(poor guys have been played a lot, but unpainted save for a couple ogres
).
That being said, with my playing circle's approbal, I'm gonna use forest goblins with the trapper rules someday
Not really my style though, but it can be tried. That being said, I've tried fast armies (all mounted) a few times, and it's always been a catastrophe because of animosity. While my tremendous lack of luck can somehow be diluted in a regular army (especially with my all gob usual lists, since I never expect anything from particular units), it's a game wrecker for mounted armies. Miss a couple charges with these boars, and you're done for.A shaman on wyvern might not be the most viable choice, but I do think it is a very cool one!

Haven't played 2000 (or more) games for a while now, though, we've been through a veeeery long streak of smaller battles.
