Update on the chaos dwarf warriors:
There's not much left to do in fact: find an idea for the weapons and the standard (I admit I'm kindda at a loss there, since I don't want to just swap them with something else), filling the rest of the armors, and the faces of the command dudes. I'm also going to give a big hat to the champion.
Maybe I'll give them plate gloves, too, but not sure.

maybe a small touch for the weapons would be to shave off the 'runes' you can see on the axe blades, and replace them with something a bit more evil/chaosy. (skulls, 'arrows' etc)
most the symbols on these look easy enough to skulpt?
![]()
In the end, I've just cut them here and there to change the shapes, I don't think i'll bother sculptin anything on the blades, they're so small, it's not worth the hassle. Modifying all these guys are a strenuous job as it is already.
By the way, I was thinking, I'm turning dwarfs into chaos dwarfs, does that make me a chaos power?![]()

Random thoughts about the Chaos dwarfs:
Them evil stunties almost got to be my first army, back during the last century (how powerful does that sound?). Back then, I discovered Warhammer through a videogame, Shadow of the Horned rat, I believe I've mentioned that already. Then my bro bought me an Empire general on horse (I still have him), and later on, with the release of that video game's sequel (Dark Omen), I got a necromancer (he came in the game's box).
Now I don't remember if it was before or after Dark Omen to be honest, but playing SotHR made me fall in love with Warhammer. That game was awesome, the mood was just perfect, I don't think any other game (WAR and Mark of Chaos, and even Dark Omen) have ever managed to get this Warhammer feeling this right. And there was drawings from the rulebooks in the booklet, they were awesome (Nuln, Karl Franz on DeathClaw, that Waaagh icon with the orc skull and 4 bones crossed behind it, that I used on my Wyvern's banner).
Anyway, playing that, I looked up Warhammer (there was an article in a videogame magasine about it to illustrate the game, that's how I learnt it was from a tabletop game). And then, I couldn't really make up my mind. All these orcs were cool, but the skavens were, too, and they had the doomwheel. I love the doomwheel.
Anyway (again), I found out about the stores, went there, and learnt about the Chaos Dwarfs. They were cool, AND they had access to O&G troops. At this point I was hesitating between the three, O&G, skavens, and CD. Looking at the skavens, though, I just couldn't picture myself painting all this brown, and, after some hard thinking, I decided I wanted to play orcs and gobs more than the evil stunties. A short while later, the CD were removed from the stores, and that idea I had of building a decent O&G force, then give a go at the CD, died then.
So that CD army is a project I hold dear, to say the least. Anyway.
For now, this is what I have planed (meaning I won't add anything to the list until all this is done):
Galgimek's SlaveShapers (1500 points)
Characters:
Galgimek Noiracier (Galgimek Blacksteel in good ol' english):
Chaos Dwarf hero with heavy armour and shield - will join the unit of warriors with shields and hand weapons-> 66 pts (toying with the idea of giving him a magic item, but for now, no. (I'm just not used to tooled up combat characters because of my gobs, I'll have to get over this).
Bultoteksh Le Gardien (Bultoteksh The Warden):
bull centaur standard bearer with heavy armour and the +1 CR magic banner - will join the unit of black orcs -> 150 pts
Melrodask le Dresseur d'esclaves (Melrodask The Slavetamer):
Lvl 2 sorcerer and chalice of Darkness -> 150 pts
=>366 pts
core
The Slavedrivers:
20 warriors with full command, heavy armour, shields, hand weapons -> 210 pts
The Slavewatchers:
10 warriors with full command, heavy armour and blunderbuss -> 150 pts
The Riotcrushers
10 warriors with full command, heavy armour and great weapons -> 140 pts
Dee Warden Eyes:
10 (dang, what the hell's with that 10 mini size?) gob wolf riders that will count as hobgob wolf riders (until I convert some), with bows, light armour, shields and musician (no spears available?) -> 170 points
=> 670
special
death rocket :
-> 80 points
Da Slavelords:
19 black orcs with shields and full command (because I have them, they'll fill the slot, they may or may not stay in the future) -> 304 pts (ouch)
Dee Warden Ears:
10 sneaky gits, musician -> 60 pts
=> 444 pts
rare
None for now (but I obviously plan an earthshaker in the future, and if someone wants to play a bigger game, I'll bring in a unit of ogre mercenaries).
=> 0 pts
Total => 1480
t's probably not the best army list one can muster for CD, but I do with what I have![]()

Btw, also, I'm wondering, is there a way to rename a topic, or do I have to contact a moderator?
Little point on the CD warriors, too: I've finished modifying 9 out of the 13 warriors I'm working on now, the only things left to do are the beard decorations on the 4 remaining dwarfs, the symbol on the champion's shield, a custom hammer for him, and a few more details on the banner. When that is done, I'll post a final pic of them before painting.
Then, when i've received the bits I've ordered, i'll work on the missing 7 others, that I'll make differently, starting from plastic marauders (a test, basically, but I want to give them a look like... her... how to describe that... imagine the Humungus from Mad max 2, but dwarf-sized, I suppose; see there ).

Nice looking horde of OnG you got there.
I really love the face masks of these CDs, especially the Lokhir Fellheart looking one. Can't wait to see them painted!
Oh yea FYI the plus 1 combat is only 25 points...

Thanks
Anyway, last picture of them before painting:
They're completly done excepted the champion's hammer, that i'll do tonight before going to bed (just waiting for the greenstuff to finish hardening on the shield).
There's a guest star, the wip artillery crew that I'm doing for fun since I have them (the one on the far left of the top line).

Very nice conversions of the BfSP dwarves, simple yet very effective can't wait to see them painted up in your colour scheme.
My name is Nkari and I approve of this message..
Chaos Dwarfs ftw.. with hats and tusks!!!!
looks nice...im a fan of converted dwarfs![]()
Well, there you go, you can get an idea of how they'll look like with those two:
Shame the picture kinds of washes out the highlightings.
The champion (big hat) is pretty much done, i'll just have to figure how to make the skin contrast more with the beard. The other guy needs a bit more work.
Anyway, C&C welcome![]()
