Beats me... I just saw the model somewhere.
Let me think...
Ow right, its this one: Settra!
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/w...log/settra.htm
From a distant darkness in the galaxy...
Invaders arrived on shining Earth.
With solid ties and burning friendship...
And with the burning your passion in your eyes, confront them.
Using the Gekigan beam, defeat the mecha monster that destroys peace
What appears in the light of hope is...
The robot of justice, Gekiganger 3!
When me and my mate played Warhammer back in the nineties around the 4th edition, he also was my favorite warboss. i also have the model, but to todays standards, it is a tad too small. So when I'm getting around painting Morglum, He will have to be scratchbuilt.
Here's an example of a black orc prototype. It's still a bit rough, but it's starting to go in the right direction...

Hi guys (and girls),
here are the first 10 black orcs. The armour of all orc boyz and goblins are rusted and in a bad state. I wanted to give the black orcs a different treatment, to stand them apart. I went for a well oiled look on their armour, with some scratches on it from battles. I think the flail still needs a bit of work, it was the last thing I painted and I was exausted, painting these guys was time consuming. Now on to the next ten. Yes!

Those Chaos shields look surprisingly good on them.
Still, the amount of mini's is sickening me..!![]()
Those black orcs look good, I like how the chaos shields turned out on them. Keep us updated.

Orc unit two...
It's difficult to take pictures of big units. There's always a few orcs out of focus. The models are metals form the eighties and nineties mixed with early nineties plastics and plastics from the games Heroquest and Battlemasters. Also a few plastics from Grenedier (I think). I've tried to paint them with a limited color palette, as these are the core troops. When I'll paint orcs again, I will try to use less reddish browns and more earthbrown tones, as well as more grays...

Nice, interesting that some orcs are green and some brown. I noticed a few of the Grenadier/Fantasy Warriors plastics in there.

I had some doubts about the army I'm currently working on. After I painted the 2 units of 30 orcs, I placed them on the shelf with the rest of the army. It just didn't look right. The individual orcs did not get the attention of the viewer they deserved in my opinion. It was frustrating. I want the army to have visual appeal to me. After I lost a battle with it, I found it also lacking in the tactical department.
With the huge rocklobbers, the black orcs, the giant AND the shamanlord on wyvern, the army had too much eyecatchers. When I put 4 units of 20 orcs with full command on the shelf, together with 2 units of 20 black orcs, one with the Army battlestandard and one with the warboss, I go 'Yes! That looks amazing' and I also have points to spare for different troops. I want the special stuff to be sparse, so that the eye automaticly focusses more on the regular anonymous orc or goblin, battlehardened and mean, ready to do battle. If you have one or two centrepiece then, it ties the army together.
I'd like to make several all orc armies, each with it's own vibe.
I want to make a army with a shamanlord on wyvern, but to me that army would have to have boarboyz, orc boyz, big uns', orc arrerboyz, orc boyz with crossbows, 2 chariots, some trolls... So that the centrepiece of that army would always be the wyvern, but with lots of diciplined and chaotic trooptypes around him.
An orc army lead by 2 or 3 units of black orcs, with 4 big orc units. The intimidating slow advance type of army.
I also like to make a goblin army, without infantry, so with lots of wolfriders and chariots and two giants.
And a savage orc army with 4 units boarboyz and two giants.
Another savage orc army with a warboss on a Wyvern and his warbosswife on a wyvern. (!)
Another orc army with a black orc warboss on a wyvern.
And then another goblin army with lots of rocklobbers and infantry and trolls and a big grenadier giant I have.
And another nightgoblin army, with lots of archers, speardudes, trolls, snotlings and fanatics.
So they all reprisent different tribes. Otherwise the armies would all look the same. Also these armies have their own background and strenghts and weaknesses. That's what I like about my first army Skarsnik's night goblinhorde with lots of squigs.
Then a tenth army with some crazy stuff with no limitations.
An army with black orc boarriders with the battlestandard as a centrepiece, a unit of 3 ogre rhinoxriders as a centrepiece, 2 giants as a centrepiece, a battering ram and a siegetower as a centrepiece maybe some other siege equitement that's released in the future, Morglum himself of course in a big unit of black orc boarboys or on a giant squiggoth and whatever else I still have lying around or gets me excited.
Of course these ideas may change in the process. So the doubts I had were actually a blessing in disguise. The thoughts I had, shaped into a plan for the total 20.000 points army... I know it sound ridiculous (lol).
