Well I had my first game of Epic last night against Lapsed Pacifist's superbly painted IG army.
Lot of learnings from the game on how to deploy my bug formations but I can see the potential.![]()

Thumbs up to Paddy because they are some nice looking bits of terrain!
If i were in the UK i'd be looking into a couple settlements out of their buildings --> given the scale i've never been impressed with my efforts to build terrain
you think they will ever do a epic sisters list? Ive played a few games and really like the system. I just dont care for any of the present armies.

i think the multi-army lists release will be in a campaign book format.

That release schedule is a little out of date.
Tyranids for example are due next year.

Keep and eye on ebay, as often Epic stuff shows up there. Either the FW resen stuff (they made some really really nice stuff) or older Epic 40, Epic Space Marine or Titian legions stuff from the 90s. I mean, my marine army is 100% epic 40k and Space Marine stuff....
Why would i spend X amount on a package of Land Speeders when i have 12 of them stil on sprews?

Damn...I thought this was a thread about 6mm scale boulders![]()
Epic does indeed rock although I haven't played since Space Marine yonks ago. The club is slowly gathering armies and dusting of old models to start with the new rules though![]()
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... and then it's just fun!

Certainly thinking of giving it a go with Tau (ye gods its expensive without plastics!), just as a rough scale how large should armies generally be?
Nice to see tyranids coming out soon, they would be the other army I'd get
I've always wanted to start up Epic, but never really got the chance. Might have more success now, if I can get my friends to try...
Too bad my local GW has stopped stocking Specialist stuff. They used to have BFG, at least, but no longer...
"Poor Jimmy was the last one to go. Tex walked up to him, pulled Jimmy's skull right out of his head, and beat him to death with it."
"Wait a second...How do you beat someone to death with his own skull? That doesn't seem physically possible."
"That's exactly what Jimmy kept screaming!"
2700-3000 points seems to the standard for tournements and is probably equivelent to about 1500 points of 40K. A game that size should last 2-3 hours although it may be longer if it is youtr first game.Originally Posted by Tastyfish
Tau do look like they have some fun stuff but I agree the lack of plastics would make your infantry a bit pricey. Still it would probably still cost less than a 40K army.
