A simple paint scheme, but very well painted, the tanks look excellent...when were these done?

When were they done? Ages ago. I bought the figures all in one go from GW Edinburgh in 2003 I think, maybe earlier, and the tanks were finished in 2005/6...!
'Limey...why Edinburgh?

Oh, I was up there seeing a friend, had a few pounds to spare, and blew it all on Valhallans.![]()
More like a good personal accountant!
I've always wanted to do the same; the most I'll ever manage is a couple of complete armies; 1 Cadian-based one so far (see sig) and maybe a converted-from-Catachans Tanith 1st. Maybe a plastic greatcoat army if it appears...
I may collect 16 different squads from the range, but 16 armies? I tip my hat to you sir.

This looks to be pretty amazing. I'm particularly looking forward to the Imperial Army (Rogue Trader-era) become the Syrtian 76th Rifle Regiment's Blue Company since I really like the old RT-era plastic guardsmen.
Do you have the models together for that one yet?
Steiner something about your pictures reminds me of when I first discovered this hobby and it makes me smile. keep it up. I look forward to seeing more.
i love the fluffy hat dude at the front of the first close up
i too would like to see the unpainted/to build pile, mine fills 9 basic trays and a monolith box (although i dont have a monolith) then a couple of crates of LoTR

This is a demented project log, congratulations. I don't have any useful advice, just 'show us everything you've got so far' because I'm suffering imagination failure at the thought of 16 guard armies.
Also, I really like 'Nurse Tara' for some reason.
You missed out a slot for the old stormtroopers (both of them) and It's odvious you're not hardcore enough, otherwise you'd have done regements for each of the necromunda gangs too![]()

General, check your Private Messages at your earliest convenience.
As for the Necromunda gangs, there's be no need for an entire army from each House, since a unit of 10 could be fielded from each instead in one Penal Legion-esque force, united by a common paint scheme.

I cant believe I havn't found this thread before, and it has Commisar in the title hmmmm.
Collecting many different guard armies is much fun, (most of my armies are based on the cadian range although there are a few mixed troops in there!) To collect so many different armies is impressive to say the least, I am in need of more pictures though.... I need another large guard collection to inspire mine to be finished.
Good work general!

congratz on admitting that you have a problem; I suggest that you solve it by getting it all over and done with; for closure, of course
By then with luck the new IG codex will be out. for 7th edition. You will have a few more model ranges to add...
Seriously nice work so far and your Darendaran X look great, not to slag your renegades of course. I get a fuzzy feeling knowing I pointed out the Rogue trader army and added to your workload, but you know those models are awesome
