I hate you. I refrained from buying stuff this month then I click on this thread....
"No, bad Grimtuff. You must save up for this beast!"
"Yes dear"
OT though. It looks great, the sores look (to me anyway) very for lack of a better word "cancerous" they have this whole spongy pus-filled tumour effect going on that seems to look lovely despite being gross.![]()

He looks disgusting! Great job!
Man, I forgot there was that much.... detail.... on that thing *shudder*
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then it's fun and games without depth perception.
Wow, excellent job! It looks so damn real it's scary. Only two comments - We need a close-up of the little guy, and he needs more colour! I love that little guy, my favourite ever sculpt I think.
BTW, have you done a Keeper of Secrets? If so, can you link me to some pics.![]()

He looks really mean. I love the work on his sores. What colour did you use for his skin?
Goblin green, with decreasing amounts of chaos black, finishing about 40:60 (GG, CB)

How big is it? It looks huge. Could you do a normal model next to him so I know the size difference?
It looks awesome. The spine really creeps me out.
I'm a bad painter
Awesome model, nice paintjob. Overall it looks great, though the skin seems a little flat though.. it has so much texture, yet it doesn't really look... disgusting enough.
Yup, it's fairly big:

i love the colours of the subcutaneous layers of fat- truelly discgusting!

it looks pretty disguesting in all the right ways, but I noticed it doesnt look like youve finished the exposed flesh on the right hand; also the pock marks in its left armpit and right leg seem unfinished.
Im hoping this is still a wee-bit wip, because to leave any detail unchecked is a crime on such a great model.
youve done a great job on em so far, i really like the horns and spine

It's 'beautiful' *sic*. I like the contrast between the dark outer flesh and the light manky bits. What does the underside of the model look like? - is it just flat resin or detailed? And are you going to base it? When seeing the model I have the idea of a scenic base with some kind of disgusting pus eruption.
Question- when all the scubbing is out the way etc... and the model is ready to paint are forge world models easer to paint? Is your results better with FW rather than GW or is everyone who buy FW amazing painters like yourself? :P
LEADERSHIP TESTS
SCREW leadership did you see what that thing did to larry! run you fools!
@dugaal, I will probably go and paint in the pock marks, as they are the same feature, and should be the same colour.
As to the hands, the "decay" that you are reffering to is actually part of the fingers. The arm skin sort of flakes away at the wrist and the finger skin is underneath. Due to the fact taht it's skin I thought the sam ecolour would suffice. Also I wanted the nailes to be a contrast to the green, and this couldn't be done with fingeres the same colour as the other "decay",k as they just wouldn't stand out enough.
@TonBerry, The underside is just flat resin, and due to that I probably won't be sticking it onto a base (as it functions fine on the tabletop anyway). However, I have been considering making a chaotic base that is detachable, just for show....
@Twilight, amazing painter? Christ, thanks! To answer you're question, FW models are DEFINATELY easier to paint, due to the amount of detail inks and drybrushing look fantastic. Plu8s they're much more enjoyable to do, so you take more time on account thet you love painting it.
Glad you all like it!
