What artillery crew wouldnt be complete without a centaur?

*centaurs are my favorite tanks in the game, period.*

    "Yo check out our wheels!"

"This is like the cadillac of APCs, homie."

    "I is teh boss Centaur"

this one is the transport for my IG HQ

detail shot. Note that the Interior is much more luxurious than the others....that is if its possible to have a luxurious interior in an APC.

This is the previously mentioned Guard HQ....or at least what I have thus far. These models are the FW Titan crew on foot models.

Left to Right: Staff Officer Bill Eckhart; Quartermaster Raphael Voss, Commandant of the Gehennan 431st; Tactical Officer Gideon Schlieffen.

This concludes the doom update of doom.

    Re: Triggerdog's Trigger-log

Those of you that frequent this thread may be wondering as to what the dickens I've been doing aside from slapping paint on models. Well aside from working, I have recently become exceedingly ill. At first I thought it was the flu but upon seeing the doctor I have found that it is not this infamous disease but rather much more obscure. Apparently I have some sort of mold growing in the lower part of my wind pipe and the upper section of my left lung.

I have managed to releave myself of some of the substance via coughing repeatedly (unwillingly) to the point where my teeth actually started to hurt. The substance that was spat forth is the same consistency as PVA glue but with some patchs closer to partially hardened Green Stuff. The texture is similar to that of moss but the hard bits are knobbly. As for the color you could get a similar effect by doing a heavy drybrushing of Camo Green over chaos black and then highlighting in Charadon Granite. The knobbly bits range in color from a sort of catachan or dark angels green, chaos black, codex grey with fortress grey highlights, or scab red with a terracotta over coat and a thin mechrite red highlight. This last combination clearly tells me that by coughing so hard I may have caused my throat to bleed a little.

When asked, my doctor jokingly said that the quickest way to remove it would be to drown myself in a jacuzzi tube in an attempt that the heat and water pressure going into my lungs would dislodge it. Right now I am actually considering figuring out a way to partially drown myself to the point where I dont die and just get the stuff to come out.

I have been issued a variety of medications including a nasal spray and a pair of antibiotic pills that it positioned end to end and stood up would be as tall as a space marine dreadnought including the base. The pills are each about a quarter inch wide as well.

If anyone honestly wants pictures of any of the afforementioned substances, items, fluids, or discharges then I'll pm them to you as they are far too ghastly to post on a public forum. (well all the pills atl least as the they are just large colorful objects. One is pure white and the other is a pink and blue capsul.)

What irritates me the most is that while afflicted with this infection I cannot start the day as I normally would. My usual morning rountine is running 3 miles and then walking 3 miles followed by two hours of cardio and stretches (Kali and Tai Chi style martial arts to be exact). With this pathogen residing in my lungs the very act of breathing causes pain. Its a little hard to run three miles even when you do it on a regular basis without getting your heart and lungs going.

    Re: Triggerdog's Trigger-log

    update time!

painted up a new squad of terminators:

This is squad Da Silva lead by Lieutenat Da Silva (the one in the middle w/ purple shoulder pad)

here they are with some of their buddies. I dont let my Assault Terminators and Shooting terminators intermingle. Fights tend to break down when someone starts bragging about assault cannons or when someone starts boasting about having lightning claws and furious assault. The chap off to the side is Commander Canis Cerberus; Master of the Watch (most respected position in my chapter, the Emperor's Watchdogs), Captain of the first company, and next in line for Chapter Master.

and no Assault terminator worth their salt isnt covered in blood and gore, its just a fact.

yes, real men have floral print wall paper on the shelves of their model storage cabinets.

Lastly we have Commissar Yutani and Major Weyland. These two are the leaders of the LV-426 storm trooper brigade, a group under direct command of the Ordo Xenos that specializes in sniffing out and exterminating various sneaky forms of tyranids. Anyone that can count the the number of movie references made there gets an iCookie.

well there you go, C&C welcome

    update time

no painting of late but I have completed a rather large modelling project. I present to you the Gehennan 431st "Corpse Harvesters" Armored Division:

    detachment 1: Demolisher Spearhead

I despise using metal so I converted the demolisher cannons out of hellhammer cannons (two from my own bitz pile, 1 pilfered from a buddy). I intentionally didnt give these tanks side sponsons so that I could but them up next to each other to have a rolling block of demolisher cannons and Armor 14.

    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<continued from previous post

Detachment 2: Leman Russ Squadron 1

Detachment 3: Leman Russ Squadron 2

I differentiate the two squadrons because all the guys in 2nd squad are manning their stubbers and all the guys in 1st squad are gesturing or lurking down in their cupola.

    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<continued from previous post

Division HQ: Leman Russ Annihilator of Captain Lewis Moss

for those of you that dont know, the Annihilator is a variant of the leman russ that sports twin lascannons in its turret. It is featured in Imperial Armor 5: The Siege of Vraks. The ForgeWorld kit is over priced in my opinion and I think my conversion has a certain panash to it.

and lastly, something I cobbled together because I was bored:

me as a ******* man raptor.

    C&C welcome as always

I've been hot on by guys before, its not new. For all I know you just have a dinosaur fetish in which case.....awesome (?).

that and I'm also trying to break the mold of 40k players being overwieght social outcasts that live in their parent's basement. I have my own house and my own basement (where the vast majority of the pictures in this log were taken) and I am married as well. Some call me a trend setter

some call me the man raptor

    Update>>>>>>>>

Wednesday night I was driving home from some gaming and was involved in a god awful car wreck. My left hip is partially sprained and my left shoulder and chest are badly bruised. In addition to that I have four nearly broken ribs. My buddies were ahead of me in traffic and as soon as they saw my car buck up in the air they stopped and pulled over. A total of 6 cars were involved in the wreck (only five were there though as the one that initiated things drove off). My friends retrieved my tank company from the wreckage along with my Apocalypse back pack and other gaming paraphenalia whil I was whisked away to the hospital. I was at the hospital from 11:30 PM to 8:30 AM the next day (valentines day). This of course shot most of my valentines plans on the foot but I still managed to keep some and earn some points with the wife. When she stepped out to call some of our friends and other people that should notified of me being in a car wreck I called up the flower delivery people and chocolate delivery people. I redirected both to the hospital rather than her work. Nothing so insignifcant as a car wreck can stop me from expressing my love for my woman, I'll tell you that right now.

Of course with me in this less than optimal state and with the added effects of the Vicodin I was issued at the hospital I have little desire to paint (that and the only things I have to paint right now are small and have alot of details which dont go well with Vikes). Today, in a fit of boredom, I tried some origami. I'd done it before and I did it well so I was going to see if I still had my skills. Over the course of eight and a half hours I produced this:

an origami version of Metal Gear Rex from the first Metal Gear Solid game. It stands about 6 inches tall. I'm a huge fan on Metal Gear, perhaps moreso than 40k, which provoked me to craft this. I have been thinking about maybe VDRing it because I havent been able to sniff out any rules that scream "walking tank with magnetic rail cannon" let alone the fact that it can use that cannon to lob Nuclear warheads at stuff.

Any ideas for this baby's rules? I'd like to field it once or twice. It wouldnt be a regular thing because it is quite fragile and delicate (origami).

first off: good that you´re still alive after that car wreck (and good that your friends recovered your 40k stuff).

that origami rex (neat thingy - have you ever considered cardboard tanks? you seem to be one of the persons who has enough experience with folding paper to do it) could be used as a dreadnought if you don´t want to mess around with custom rules (i always want to write custom rules for things, but wind up in too much confusion on the way. so i have no other idea right now... sry).

    get better soon
heres some painting of mine and a few mates, take a look and leave a comment, you will not regret it

I have enough Dreadnoughts as is and none of the options availible to Dreadnoughts scream Rail Cannon to me. That and the Rex just over twice the size of a dreadnought

Triggerdog, you have possibly the worst luck ever, first the bubonic plague, now a car wreck.....I think you should invest in a rubber padded room and a helmet.
