Okay question: With only about 40-50 soldiers left to paint I have to prepare my heavy stuff. And therefore I need to know how one can make rivets for tank armour?
Plastic rod and cut? Or is PVA glue enough?
    Has anyone a good tutorial?

I've heard of one I'll be trying soon - have a piece of metal at least 1mm thick, drill some holes of sufficient diameter and depth, take a piece of sprue, heat it up and push into the holes - then cut off the negative images of the holes, pick up with a wet brush and glue on place.

You can make them out of GS as well, using a drilled sprue as a master, or if you have thin enough plasticard, just punch them through from the back with a ball pen, and they come out on the front.

Plastic rod and a knife is the best way in my opinion.

    @TheBedla:
I will try this thing with the metal plate out once I have a suitable piece of metal.

Until then I will use plastic rods as Steiner said.

Oh and another question: The rear door of a chimera... is there any reason why I shouldn't glue it in place?

Chimera rear doors should always be glued in place - unless you've super-detailed the interior.

Great scheme on those storm troopers! How do you do your lighting for your pics? It is really professional looking.

    Thank you.
I use a normal bulb and a 20W daylight energy saving lamp. A piece of paper behind the minies. To counter the yellow of the normal bulb I use a LZ-synchro flash on my FinePix.
With the next minies I will make a photo of the arragement and test if it is better to take a daylight bulb instead of the standard.

Just found this log, and I must say I like the originality a lot. Great fluff, and a cool (if somewhat unsettling) colour scheme. At first I thought they were Afriel Strain.

Hyper-realistic, too - the majority of people in the Imperium probably look like this lot! Of course now I need to make one of my Regiments come from a Hive World so I can have a unit of sallow, grey-faced light-fearing (literally) suburban scum!

It is both a hounor and a pleasure to inspire deserving members of the imperial guard.
Hopefully I get the sarge and the two plasma grenadiers done this weekend.

Wow, just amazing stuff man! The models are great, but the fluff is waht keeps me coming back! Keep up the good work!

P.S. I know the pains of an unsupportive gaming family member. My dad hates to paint, its like pulling teeth!
