Dave Paints....... Vostroyan's (and lot's of other things!)

Hey all

figured that you can never have to many plogs going at one time so thought I'd start another :-)

this will just be a general plog for anything that doesn't fit elsewhere and will be a long winded look at a army that I've been building up for age’s now i.e. Vostroyan's!!

so far I've completed a few tanks and a couple of other bits but due to other projects the updates will be a little infrequent (currently working on a imperial fist army as well that I'll post here very soon before it goes on eBay...hint hint anyone that's interested)

It's strange seeing 40k vehicles in a relaistic, almost WW2 looking scheme. The Thunderer also reminds of some of the turret-less tank designs of the time.

Anyway I think it wouldn't be a terrible idea to put a tiny splash of color on more facings of the tank, as it only has red on the one side. Looks imbalanced as a result (I almost thought they were different tanks!).

Those tanks are aces. I love Vostroyans, what are you planning infantrywise?

Nice job on the vehicles, though as your going for the heavy weathering will you be adding some mud/dust?

As I'm a big fan of your work on SM armies, I'm really happy to see you painting some IG, especially Vostroyans (for me, they are one of the best 40k army ever made by GW).

Love the tanks, they look great indeed. Can't wait to see the infantry...

(Ps. the Pyrons are all packed out and standing in a nice display in my new house . (one of the first things that we moved )).
