CVR(T) = Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) is the British family of tanks (Scorpion, Scimitar, etc.)

Loving the tank Tommy, looks really really well!

    Re: Tommygun's Backwater Forgeworld

I think I'm done with this guy.
I am not 100% happy with the muzzle brake, but it will do.
So I just need to add a barrel to the other one and I can start painting.

Eliminate the muzzel brake or go with a globular one like on the PzKw IV Aus F.
To master any skill you must accept doing it poorly at first.

Gotta echo Vex on this one mate, that muzzle brake looks like dross. Also, like it's made from lego parts, but none of the cool ones.

I think the muzzle-brake would be just fine if he drilled out the vents on the side. Just my $0.02!

    Re: Tommygun's Backwater Forgeworld

Started painting these two. Both desert tan.
The muzzle brakes are not glued on and at some point I can make new ones when I get the time.
They will do for now. I'll post pictures when I get done.

    Re: Tommygun's Backwater Forgeworld

    Good to hear, TG.

Mind putting your head to work on something? I'm trying to figure out a decent look for a wrist/fore-arm mounted weapon - since Combi Meltas and Combi Flamers are a damned expensive sight and I want my Sternguard to be festooned with them, I was thinking of mounting the combi- part of the weapon on the off-hand's wrist, since they're just little one-shot deals.

    Re: Tommygun's Backwater Forgeworld

Well the Marauder Destroyer and Macharius were made without a template plan, but I do have templates for them now I think.
I know I do have the plans for the small thunderbolt.
Just PM me your Email address and I'll see what I can send you.

    Re: Tommygun's Backwater Forgeworld

    .
    Press mold experiment part 2:

I did one of these things a few months back from wooden hexes and it turn out useless.
The white "Friendly Plastic" griped and tore away from the wood and ruined the mold.
This time I used plexiglass hexes from Litko to make the master from and it worked much better.
I was able to spray the white Friendly Plastic mold with Pan cooking spray and then filled it with green stuff to make a complete base.
It works well, but future ones will get less green stuff and I will use them as thin base toppers on plastic bases to save on the amount of green stuff I need to use.
The oval and pill shapes I also ordered at the same time and may get used to make "glass"stepping stone bases.
I will also be using them as computer display screens with an image glued to their backs and then ether glued to surfaces or to a plastic rod as a free standing display, but that's for another thread.
Well I think that's it for now.

Did you remember to spray the master before adding the plastic for the mold?
