    Thank you!

During the last two months I've painted these:

More pics of them in my Thirty Years War thread.

Re: mrtn's Southlands Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, Skaven and even more!

I'm mainly posting stuff in my Thirty Years War thread now, but this batch of minis actually are a few fantasy ones, so I'll post it here as well.

Here is the last batch of miniatures, and a varied bunch they are too, five minis from five different manufacturers.

To the left is Friedrich Vulture-eye, my crazed hero from my Mordheim warband. He's originally from Black Tree Design and converted with a ungor bow.
Then there's an old Prince August fencer, who for some reason was called a Nubian Prince. He has got a plastic hat and sword from Warlord.
Then a model from Grenadier, he can own my mule train, or join the artillery crew or something.
Then we have Hugh Raleigh from Warlord, or Hugo von Rälig as I call him.
And last we have Aragorn, son of Arathorn, also known as Elessar, and a member of either a Swordsmen or Militia unit.

Last night was spent in the sign of the beard:

Wow! Those Thirty Years War models are pretty cool! I'll be sure to check out your Historical plog...

The latest group of Fantasy models look cool, too!
Check out my Mordheim scenery! NOW! I mean... Please... Only if you want to of course...

    Thanks Boreas!
I'm thinking that I can use this army for WFB as well with Empire rules, the models I own already make up a 1700 point army.

Its funny how when I look at historicals I always think the weapons are too small, when actually its my chaos warriors couch-sized axe that is wrong.

The clothes all look good, as does the 'smoke' on the end of Aragorn's fire.

    Thanks Cap'n!

A year or two ago I bought some LotR dwarf rangers to paint up as Thorin's Company. I did start on six, but didn't finish them. Having been bitten by the "tiny dwarf"-bug again I did finish them yesterday. Here are, from the left, Nori, Bifur, Dori, Oin, Ori and Dwalin. I've tried to give them the correct cloak and beard colour, though Dwalin's beard is a quite conservative nuance of blue.

Pretty cool. Do you also play LotR? You should greenstuff one to be morbidly obese for Bombur.

Thank you. I don't play LotR yet, but I think this may be a start of a force, based largely around Prince August models I can cast myself plus the ranger box I own. I'm also thinking about a Moria goblin force, based around an old LotR starter set as well as PA goblins.

Here is a group of Prince August models, four of them bought 25 years ago when I was a wee lad, and the crossbowman in the middle cast by me last week. They make me very nostalgic.

So, LotR, Mordheim or just for painting, who knows?

Those Dwarfs are cute (and that's meant to be a compliment)! You can cast these yourself? Nice...

Ooh, I like those Dwarves. Bright and clean paintjob. Make sure Harry sees those. I'm fairly sure that he'll like them.

Those Dwarves look pretty damn good, much more detail than the zombies you cast up. They have less of a DIY look.
On the Moria goblins, from what I've seen on Ebay they are one of those cheap plastic horde buys, where you can usually buy fistfuls of them for pittance. I got my army of monopose Skaven in the same-same way.

Thanks, and yes, I agree, they are cute. My casting usually turns out a bit worse, but still quite good.

Thank you. The Thirty Years War is mainly posted in it's own thread, so if anyone's missed it, you'll find a link in my sig.

    Thank you.

Here is a conversion to turn a dwarf with a miscast shield into a dwarf with a two-handed weapon. Should be usable as a Khazad Guard in LotR.

Once again, very nice stuff there. I especially like the yellow cloaked one and the armoured guy for being a bit different to the rest. Spices the army up. Looking forward to more!

Thanks mate! Next batch should feature some conversions:

Man, those old dwarfs are on par with up to date plastics.
It was a good idea of fielding them together and I share your nostalgia about proper cloak colour (possibly, well I call it so at my case at least ) prior to forthcoming Hobbit movies.
So there should be a big red dragon in the pipeline then?

Damn you for saying that. We'll see, maybe in the future.

I have done other things since March you know...

Here is a preview of the goblin force that will battle the dwarves.

The stick is just left there to show how I painted them...
