Loving the bloodletter. Looks like a really muscuar khorngor...

House: Yeah, 'cause I worship Santa. Or wait, is that Satan? I always get them mixed up.

Very nice Bloodletter conversion. I guess that demelling that face off was quite laborous?

Great to see that tower (good tower model, as opposed to the christmastree of a tower they did now). Looks good, I even like the differently-coloured single bricks which break up the grey monotony.

Thank you. Not much shooting from beastmen, I'm afraid.

Thanks, that's kinda the idea. When I get more of these old bloodletters painted I'll be able to field two bestigor units, one with khorne theme (khorngors, bloodletters, etc) and one with Nurgle/Undivided.

I don't have a dremel, took off the face with file and knife. Wasn't that hard actually, since I left the lower part of the face. I've since worked a bit more on it, cheek bone, lower lip, and I sculpted a thigh armour for his left leg. The right leg will get a cast one.

Thanks, yeah I think the tower looks good. I'm soon finished with two other towers, I've also mended a broken hinge on the castle gate, and scraped mould lines on the walls. You might think I'm crazy, since I spend time fixing mould lines and gap filling this big thing, but then I think the end result will look better than GW's castle, since they usually leave great big gaps in their buildings, for some inexplicable reason.

The differently coloured bricks might look strange when you focus on them (and on the new towers there are even more, some grey-blue, green...) but they help the whole model. It also makes it more realistic, since very little stone is totally colour-less, most have something other than black and white.

mmm just thinking. could you use a beastmen box to make marauders? just with:
    - changing heads
    - esculpting boots over the lower legs? or the angle is too strange?

I'm still laughing as I'm typing this about the Nick Cage line. Good job, and awesome job on the GS armor.

You need to change the legs, check out paelkeizah's work.

    Heh, thanks.

I've continued working on my castle:

I've also glued and gap-filled all the pieces. The door you see in the last pic is one I had to cut out and move, since the idiot kid who owned the castle before me gave one tower doors on all four walls, while two towers got just one door.

Sounds like the previous owner of the castle was kinda abusive, good to know that it's finally getting the attention it deserves.

I think the different color bricks were a real good idea. Breaks up the solid grey well.

I was thinking 'whats the big deal' about that beastman, and then I realised it was converted from a Bloodletter. Wow, really good job on that. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like painted. It will be fairly close to seamless though, which is great.

Really nice castle. You need a unit of beastmen defending it too!

Edit: Or rather - tearing it down!

Thanks, and yes, I agree, it really helps, at least since I give it a unifying dry brush and wash.

    Hehe, thanks mate.

I have a unit of beastmen already, or five...
But I must say that I'm not that thrilled by the latest Beastmen fluff, to me it's strange that they don't have their own castles and similar.

Here's a small marsh/swamp/thing I threw together. It's based on a CD, and the "land" is made with Milliput.

The lesson I learned was that you shouldn't spray varnish twice, the second layer started to eat the first.

    ohh a castle

And your pond/mud hole is quite lovely.

Never heard of spray varnish doing that before..?

Thanks. Well, "eat" is probably not the right word, but the second layer started to crinkle and bubble up, the rough area in the middle has actually been flattened by me after it dried...

The bloodlettergors are perfect. Great idea. (So good I can't believe I have not seen it done before).

Thanks mate. I've heard about it, but not seen pictures.

Finished a couple of models that have been half finished for some time. Finished the castle gate as well:

The chain of the censer broke off, so the plague monk got a big mace instead.

PS, look at that gap filling in the crenelation.

Great looking gorletters! And the swamp, and ungors... You have a very distinct colour scheme, and it works very well. Now all that is missing is a fimir sticking its head up from the swamp...

Thank you! I'm afraid the fimir stuck his head up way back in September, so he's left the swamp and joined the horde.

I really like your Beastman colour scheme. Those ungor harpy conversions look great. Your "Trojan Rat" is such a great concept too!

The castle looks great. Are you going to make a foe for your Beastmen who hold the castle?
