The Chaos Warhound finally makes an impact in turn three by vaporising the lucky troops trying to capture the central objective with a plasma blast (the 10" template).

Meanwhile ineffective Valkyrie shooting and Nob bikers storm the Imperium objective but were unable to remove enough men in the one turn.

The battle concluded a WIN on turn three for the Imperial side with two held objectives and one uncontested. Warmaster Ross or should that be King Leonidas is pleased with the victory!

Overall the battle was a closely fought one and things looked to swing the other way if turn four were to be played. Right off to Bugman's bar apocalypse games are knackering!

The attached image below is the imperial fortress board at Warhammer World, they have made it all Wintery for Christmasy which looks awesome.

This is a conversion that was in one of the cabinets at Warhammer World, just too cool not to show.

Great battle-report with some great models on evocative terrain.

And that conversion is awesome, I never would have thought to combine those two kits!

Re: Slaaaaaanesh's Ultramarine army, Tau Army and other 40k-ness log

Thanks for the comments guys, I've had a bit of a building session this Summer and have come up with the following goods.

    1) A Chaos Reaver Titan - About 80% done on the modelling, still need to detail and smooth of armour plates and finish the base too. I would like to build another Warhound Titan as the first one came out too big as the plans need to be printed at about 75% of what they are.

    2) A Caestus Assault Ram - This looks nice and fun to use but I've not got £92 to shell out just to use it a couple of times.

    My WIP Fulgrim.

Wood elf head, Dark elf cold on rider torso, and Chaos Warrior legs. Everything else will be green stuffed in.

Hmm, I don't know yet... He seems rather weedy. Despite his elegance and pretty boyness, Fulgrim is a Primarch, a warrior. I would assume he would be beefier than that.

I've filled him in with greenstuff now and added other accessories and trinkets. The camera has picked up some uneven greenstuff edges and flash that I need to get rid of but otherwise once painted up he should look like a Fulgrim.

You'll still be won't be happy because your old one will make it look small. How big is yours? FW's is 10.5" 26cm.

I had the same problem with mine.

It was about 13" 32cm partly because of the base, partly because the PVC joints I used where too big, partly because I made the mid leg section bigger than it should be and partly because I tried do give it a more dynamic pose than the templates. I managed to get it down to 12" 30cm by repositioning the legs. I reckon I'll be able to knock a bit more off by reducing the size of the hull joint and getting a shorter base. Anyway who wants a small titan? just make your Reaver bigger and get a bigger box and house to keep it in

Did you ever get to painting your thunder hawk? Is that black one in the pictures one and the same? It looks like you've done a fair bit more work to it if it is.

One the ruins how are you making the pillars?

On spaying foam board. I try to cover all the edges with paper and then if I'm very concerned I hand paint a pva/water/chaos black undercoat on all the foam board before painting, this helps reduce gaps in the joints between sections too. If you are doing battle damage the board melt can work in your favour though. Did you conclude which was better of Halfords and GW spay?
