Guys, you won't believe it, but I actually picked my brush today and painted something! That's right, my Daemonettes (which I need to paint before this weekend) got the first layer of Codex Grey this morning. I have enough time to paint one layer a day, but I think I will pick up the pace now that I know I still haven't lost the touch.
Here you can see a pic of my work area. 6 undercoated and started upon Daemonettes, plus the two bikes I'm converting. I was promised some bitz today so I can continue working on those two, too.

@yerpo: *cheers* Good, finally you're giving your daemonettes some attention.

I posted this CMON thing just to remind us that we're all maggots. No, it just looks great and I thought that it might be inspiring, but I guess this one is beyond inspiring.

And this place looked damn abandoned at 3:00am this morning!

Thought I'd give you all a little update.
I have fully assembled and undercoated my Assault Squad. The last of the Land Speeders is assembled (including the special base to match my other Speeder), and is ready to be undercoated along with a single Heavy Bolter marine.
I also need to finish painting the 'Book' loot counter and model the 'Sword' and 'Amulet' ones.

I would have done the undercoat, but the spray can ran out so I have to get me a new one.

I'll post pictures when there is something to show...

Well, I haven't had all too much time to finish the plane (which I may get pictures up of soon).
But suddenly I've been informed I need it tomorrow instead, so I have to go on an all night painting session.
I need support, red bull and a paint brush the size of my fist.

What kind of plane are you talking about? Must have missed your earlier posts on this project.

edit: I start feeling like the nightwatch of the WSPSG.

    Thanks man!
    Its a ju52 Junker.
    1:42 scale (bout 40cm long)

Not even fully assembeled yet, as you gotta paint as you go, which is kinda fustrating...
Oh, and I lost a bit of it on my floor, but that doesn't matter, right?

Ah, beautiful piece of an aircraft. Back when I was doing WW2 aircraft models I also wanted to do one but for some reason I never got one. You aren't gonna convert it into something 40kish are you?

    It's mid afternoon man!

Current project status = nowhere. With my brother moving in to my house, I now have a TV, PS2, and Final Fantasy X, which I haven't played in approx 3 years. I do however almost have my new modelling workstation sorted out, complete with new chair. need tools though, and a much better camera, and I swear I will start flashing pictures of my Nids around

    No, not a chance!
For one, its too... not 40k. But mostly cause its a comission for a play that I'm helping out on for my course, I want it to be as realistic as possible. Fortunately when its gonna be filmed its gonna be mostly silloutted(spelling?) and it should look good no matter what.
I'm enjoyign making it, but can't wait till its done. Got taht mordheim free elf from the white dwarf half way to bring done already.
I then have to have a fully painted guard army- would be a first time yet!

@devolutionary: it's past 6 in the morning you crazy kiwiman!

@bert n ernie: wow, interesting commission. How much of it have you done yet? And what WD came with a free Mortheim Elf?

And finally: Oh, the joys of painting guard armies. Still got one to do too...

    Re: WarSeer Painting Support Group

Amm, I dunno the White Dwarf, but it was a LONG time ago. Apparently the mag was the only place you could get the guy. It could ahve been somewhere aroudn when mordheim was first out. Within that year for deffo.
I still have to do a final payer of paintall over. Then a few details I haven't gotten aroudn to. Last bits being glued in as I type.

The guard... the wonderful guard. I've gotta paint a LOT more models if I'm ever to have an army. I'm using lost and the damned corssed with guard, so I can play both. THe only stuff I have painted so far are in my sig, and a basilisk...

The free mini was in a WD in late 1999. Can't remember which issue, though. It is by no means limited. It was later released as blister and you still can get it from the Online Store.

    Have fun,

It's a nice model. I used it as my GF's D&D character back when we played (D&D that is... )

Wasn't he called Aenur, Sword of Twilight?

wow, a free miniature with the WD. We didn't have that for ages. The last one I remember was the White Dwarf which came with german WD#100. Well, it's not THAT long ago now that I think of it....

Yesterday I managed to paint all but the first rank of my spearelf unit to 80%, the first rank is still stuck at ~50%.

The mentioned mini was also available on the german WD, but if I think of it there haven't been that many minis. There was issue 2 with a plastic wizard. Some issues later a plastic Skaven. Issue 12b when Warhammer 5th edition was introduced got you either Bretonnian archers or Skinks. With the 3rd edition of W40K you got a Dark Eldar. Than there was a plastic mini for Gorkamorka, Aenur and the the White Dwarf (said issue #100).

    Have fun,

    Rolf.

I just started my new marines today (DIY) as in start assembling them and not start thinking of assembling them (that's why they've been in the box for a month or so while I thought up interesting poses)...anyway...I found out if you combine a chainsword and a SM knife..you get a cool kinda chainknife...

    AGH!
    stil not finished.
Went to a lecture, and when I got back I fell asleep. Otherwise I'd be fine by now.
Although I do desperately need sleep.
The model is not nearly as good looking as I had hoped, but it does look appropriate for what we want to do...
    I suppose.
