Aside from moving into Historicals I have also picked up some Infinity models; they will be doing double-duty as Jokero in my GK force which I am also working on at the moment. The GW models do nothing for me; I wanted something a little more alien and a little less primitive ("Oh sure we have laz0rz but no pants.").

Thanks for the props Colonel Jacka.
I have been painting up a storm, mainly due to health issues limiting my time and restricting my travel. Mostly Imperial Guard due to my Tau basically being complete and my primary Photobucket account getting so many views it threatened to disable the images. It is funny how something like that can get you re-starting a project that seemed to have stalled. My Imperial Guard log started in 2008, and the first seven figures were initially painted when the plastic Cadian Guardsmen first came out.
One drawback was that some figures I had earmarked for sale on eBay suddenly re-entered the list of models too paint.

I like the beard on the Officer o the left. It's funny how somehting as simple as that and a cap makes a mini stand out as unique.
I got a few more Andalusian mounts painted up:

I am a big fan of GW's inks. I think that would be the way to go. Try a light wash, and add another if it's not dark enough. If it's too dark you can always brighten them back up again.

For my part, I'm struggling with a trio of Sentinels. I thought they'd be quick, fun, and easy. But, no, I hate them. They need to look less cool!
And I should use a different paint/primer![]()
Thanks for your answers. I think I will try with the sepia one.
The sepia one has a subtle orange tone whereas Devlan Mud is, well, mud coloured.![]()

I bought a new paint spraying kit this weekend as my much beloved, and used original lost the vital part in the some 8 years it sat around the house while I was off on my own. Sprayed on a test color and its awesome. Good bye Catachan Green. Can't wait until next weekend to get all the sentinels sprayed up! And maybe a Russ or Vindicator too! Oh noez!![]()
I tried with Seraphin sepia (too colored) and Agraw earthshade (too dark on flesh), and I don't like the result in both cases, so I don't have any new picture.
It's probably a little too late now but you could always try thinning it.

Thanks for your advices. For the moment, I'm painting a tervigon and I applied a coat of 4:1 skull white / bleached bone after my coat of bleached bone and I get a result closer to what I want. I'll post pictures when it will be finished.
While waiting for the greenstuff on the jinetes to dry, I finished painting Coteaz for my DH army. As my army is a combined force of Inquitional henchmen and Grey Knights I really needed him to be able to take all my units of henchmen. All I need to do is finish off the base and he is ready for the tabletop.

I have continued to work on my guard PLOG, but mainly in raising the standard of the figures/tanks rather than painting new ones. And as a repeat of my last update, a few more figures have wormed their way back into my to paint list.I did knock off 3 last Cadian infantry...check my PLOG for images...and images of over 10 armoured vehicles that just had an update.
