Been busy with real life for the last week or two. Have a few new things on the slow burn for the army including a Nightwing from Razorwing conversion thanks to Fable on Warseer.

While clearing the Cave out, I actually decided to put the army on my display shelves. Thought it looked cool and that I'd share with everyone.

Troopers, Transports, War Walkers, Warp Hunters and a Wraithlord!

Your army looks pretty impressive as one cohesive force. I can't wait to see how the Nightwing turns out.

Fable, work commenced on the Nightwing this evening. The hull has been reshaped and looks good. Shaved down one of the turbines slowly and am pretty confident they'll fit perfectly. Tomorrow night will see blu-stuff moulds of Falcon vents and plasticard being cut to shape for the back of the vent/bright lance section, giving me something to glue the lances to. Will also sort the shuri cannon mounts and the fins.

The Fable class Nightwing!





Lotsa work went into tweaking the Razorwing but it does fill the same kinda footprint as the Forgworld Nightwing. I have magnetized each of the weapons to make tracking of Weapon Destroyed results easier.

I'll see about an undercarriage shot after work. I did manage to balls up the hole for the flight post a little.

I'm not sure about a name. Everything I think of seems......boring. A bit contrived. Something will come naturally, I'm sure. That's how the name 'Arithym' came to me.

The intakes are greenstuff made from blu-stuff moulds. Saves me a falcon kit. Took a lot of trimming. Will try to use less GS next time and trim a bit more carefully and sand a bit slower. Get the fit just right.

All in all though, I'm super happy with her. She will be blooded against Grey Knight and Imperial Guard this coming Saturday.

Sounds like she'll have a good amount of targets to scour from the game. In my first game using mine I managed to take out 3 tanks. I deep struck it and took out a leman Russ lighting up its rear armor. Then I took out two chimeras. At one point I totally placed it wrong because I completely forgot that it's AV10 and not 12 and I almost got it shot down by Heavy Bolters.

Against rear armor I've found the Shuriken Cannons more reliable so far than the Bright Lances because of my crap rolling with them, but it's quickly become my favorite FA choice.

Looks great. Was it tough boring out the rod hole evenly?

It was a pain. I reckon I'll get a proper drill piece as this was done with multiple smaller drill holes, clippers and a file.
Next time, defo a 13mm drill bit.

So the Nightwing debuted over the weekend against a super strong Guard list. Deepstruck it behind two punisher's. Damned-able fate scattered it in front of them instead. Blew the turret off one and them died in a storm of retaliatory fire.

Just taken delivery of 10 wraithguard I got off ebay. Gonna strip em down tonight and once dried, prime them bone. Gives me fifteen total. Want 5 more.

Just hope we get some nice new plastic ones assuming rumours of Eldar next year pan out.

As it turns out, no. I duelled a Stormraven, did naff all against a Psyrifleman and died. Admittedly, it took two turns of his whole army shooting it but I was tabled in the end anyway. I hate Grey Knights anyway (especially their Stormraven) and the dice seem to be against me somewhat.

It was still a fun game, even with a pair of my mates cackling like hyenas at every mishap I had.
