    Re: Tim's big painting log

Here is a 'small' update, the night gobbo boss is done. Gotta love those latest goblin heroes. I think they have a lot of character.

Also started working on a unit night goblins for my new hero to lead. It will be a mix of the latest night goblins with some of my old metal night goblins I dug up from my bit box.

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    Evening everyone,

today I had a day of from work. Went to town with the wife, get her something for her birthday. When we got home I really wanted to finish some models.

So I dug up some wraiths in the bit box and painted them up for the vampire counts army. Really simple paint scheme. But hey..they are ghosts.

    and all of them together:

Also found a nice feral vampire that is now officially wip:

    have a nice evening

Wow, so much stuff, all over the place...reminds me of someone.
You have way more painted, though.
The Grotz are fantastic (the checked pattern on the one guy's bandana is insane), the Ogres are lovely, I really like the blue tinge on your Wraiths, the Sisters army is more than impressive and the green on your Death Guard is really unique and has a great effect.
    Keep it coming!

Wow, you sure have many armies, and well painted too. I must admit that I'm more than a little jealous.
I'm really looking forward to the strigoi vampire.

Wow guys, that is just too much praise. You're all doing a pretty good job as well. Thanks for the comments.

Just finished the culexus assassin. Really fast paint job. Not a big fan of the models. Group shot as well.

I also started to work on a herald of nurgle for chaos daemons. It's an oldy I found somewhere in the bit box.

Have a nice day. I'll be back soon with some finished night gobbos and vampire.

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    good day,

it has been a while, last week I finished my masters degree. So that took up most of my spare time. Today I finally got the feral vampire done.
The model was a lot of fun to paint. I did take the easy way and used a lot of the washes on this model.
I also got some work done on the night gobbos. They will look very much the same as the first unit.

Also a very early new wip: a armored sentinel for the renegade guard

hopefully i'll be back with all the night gobbos painted next week, untill then!
    cheers

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    Hey everyone,

it has been a while. Real life is a bit hectic at the moment, graduating and buying a house takes up more time then I anticipated.
It took a while longer to finish the second unit of night goblins. Nice mix of old and new models. The Renegade sentinel is very close to completion as well.

The new WIP are three night goblin fanatics. One of them is a real oldie i dug up from the bit box. It didn't have the original ball so I found him one from a later edition.

Enjoy, as I said the sentinel will be up soon. Still haven't figured what to paint next or for what army. If you have any ideas or wishes let me know!

    cheers

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    hey peeps,

the renegade armored sentinel is sort of done. I guess there is a bit more detail work to do. But for now it is finished , I have the urge to start on other models so.
Really nice kit from GW. I'm a big fan of plasma weapons so that's the reason the model is fitted with a plasma cannon. I also used brass etch from FW. Really nice stuff to work with. For the rest I tried to keep the model simple, and in line with the other models.

There you go. New WIP will be up some other time.

    cheers

    Re: Tim's big painting log

Thanks EmperorNorton. You can see that I was still motivated when I painted those.

Next up will be a Chimera for my inquisitorial stormtroopers. This tank has been sitting on my desk for too long ( about 4 years) . I hate painting chimeras. Still this is the last one. There is some paint on it allready, now it is time to finish it.
Standard color scheme from way back.

Hopefully it will be done soon!

    Re: Tim's big painting log

Thanks Leonmallett, I really like your plog too.

Today I finished the fanatics for the second regiment night goblins. All the Night goblins are started to look like an army by itself. I took some shots of that as well. I really like the idea of an all night goblin army.

Next up will be some more squig hoppers so I can field two units or a big one

Have a nice evening, and see ya soon!

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    Thanks guys!

Here are four more squig hoppers I finished a couple days ago.
Squig Hoppers always work for me on the battlefield. So I'm really happy I can field two units from now on.

I've also started to clear out some bit boxes. In the first one I found some bats. I painted these up for warhammer quest, I also found some more critters, a pump wagon, sisters of sigmar, another hero on giant squig and Grimgor Ironhide with a command group.

    new wip:

    hey Jos, buddy,

thanks, funny to meet each other here. You still paint? Haven't seen you in a while, you still live in Tilburg?

Anyway, i sort of finished up the last chimera. I really dislike painting tanks, but this one really bugged me. It is a terrible paint job but here we go:

The new wip will be a big project, a shadowsword to go with my chaos armies. I will paint it up in the colors of my renegades.

    Have a nice weekend! cheers

    Waaaaahhh Shadowsword!!!

I am jealous. I'd probably will never get one because I don't buy what I can't use.

    Great looking Chimeras btw.

    Re: Tim's big painting log

    hey putty,

thanks man, you'll be happy to know I used the big tank today in a spearhead battle as a banehammer. Really bad luck though, it got blown up by a manticore really fast.

The black orcs and Grimgor are done. Next up for that army will be a pump wagon!

And here is a wip shot of the super heavy. Added some spiky goodness and also a lot of brass edge insignia from Forgeworld.

A tank commander will be added later.

    Have a nice week!
