    Thanks

Here are the wind riders, ulthwe version (yes not very fluffy, but i'll make only ulthwe for this army).

Following an advice, I've put something to make them "fly" (the little thing sticked to 28mm flying base):

    Looks quite better.

A nice collection you have there.

My favourites are BFG and the Steel Legionary. How is this army coming along?
Would be very interesting as a Steel Legion is my next project.

And you have a good painting standard. Especially one those small epic miniatures.

This is a beautiful thread and I am very envious of the crispness of your painting. In particular the Eldar epic force and the work on those soulstones is astounding! I also love the way you have highlighted the prow of the Imperial ships, looks astounding and I may pinch the idea for my own Imperial fleet. By a strange co-incidence I was pleased to see you were doing a blue imperial BFG fleet and a red Khorne Chaos BFG fleet as well (htough mine don't quite match your standards).

I have only one criticism and one question and please don't take it the wrong way as this is superb work Napalm and very inspirational.
    1) The dwarf on the banner actually looks a little too laive, but unfussed! I can't decide if he is dead, or alive but bored or something (maybe it's just me or the camera)
    2) How do you do the stars on your BFG fleet bases? Is it using a toothbrush flicking method or have you came up with something better?
Warhammer Armies: Empire, Night Goblins, Dwarves, Daemons of Chaos
40K Armies: Chaos, Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Chaos Daemons, Tyranids, Tau
Epic Armies: Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Orks, Adeptus Titanicus.
    BFG Forces: Imperial Navy, Chaos.

Re: Napalm's log of doom (BFG, 40k, battle & Epic)

    Thanks for the comments !

I have so much minis to paint that the IG army is going on very slowly: one squad is undercoated and ready to be painted, i've built a chimera, a baneblade and a leman russ for now. I'm trying to finish a little epic eldar forces, then i'll go back on 28mm but don't know which army yet (got chaos/ig for 40k, orcs/tomb kings/chaos for battle, all races for epic, marines/empire/chaos for bfg...).

For the dwarf, yes i agree: he's not bloody enough, especially killed by black orcs, but well, now they're sealed. He looks a bit better in real (i'm a really bad photograph, the worse is the eldar titan, looking really better in real). I'll make the next dead guy on a standard more dirty for sure !

The bfg bases are made with the toothbrush, white with a lot of water, and some plastic you use to cover food (don't know the english name) to protect the ship, because i do this at the end. Some drops are too long and ugly, so i correct those ones with black.

And now, here is a tempest host (crappy pics as usual but they do looks good on the tabletop):

Nice stuff and I also like like the SL color scheme only thing would be: When you highlight after it drybrush with the same color to make blend in nicely. Nice stuff and I'm suscribing

Re: Napalm's log of doom (BFG, 40k, battle & Epic)

    Thanks !
Yes, that's the point for the soulstones.
In fact that's not very hard, you just have to be patient when you've got 15 on them on each tank.
I've followed white dwarf advice: you paint it with reverse highlight. Shadows on top, and highlights at the bottom, and a little white dot to finish the optical effect. Works well !
To make it easier, use a color with a lot of already made variant, like green, red or blue.

Haven't thought about a light drybrush to soften the highlights, will try it next time I paint a 28mm thing.

Here are the news of today, first, two warp hunters detachments:

    And a warlocks stand:
