All the very bestest,
Hmmm, I missed the big change in the forums, sucks
I can do it, er, the painting/whatever... as nearly everyone said, B&C is doing their own chapter, so why don't we do a legion of guard? It would be more original, and more possibilities for converting/fluff.

I'll donate the "Sons of Pertinax", if you are interested, as a root idea for the chapter.

Yup I'm in.
Still not there yet? Well, get ready, they're about to make you cannibalize his flesh and blood! The next time Christmas rolls around put on your Space Marine costume and head to the midnight mass, because Catholicism is just like you're living in Warhammer 40,000, only there are a few less flying skulls.
I'm not good in painting models but who cares. It's too much fun to stay away.
I'm in with Marine and everything!
I'm lost, I'm angry and I'm armed so what the Hell is going on here?

Man only need two tools, WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40, if it does move and it shouldn't use the Duct Tape
Hmm, never built a Space Marine before... I'm in, so long as I manage to scrounge up the money for everything required. (I think the suggested colour schemes discussed so far cover pretty much every paint I don't have.)
Now, to find my ninja outfit and start raiding the local bitz boxes for Marine heads, arms, and legs.
Done and done. I’m not looking for a schedule, I’m looking for some dates – I’m on a tight schedule here, and dates matters…Originally Posted by TWB

I'm new around here but this looks like a pretty cool idea. My painting skills are just this side of awful so I'll do what I can to assist in the other parts. If you really need marines though I might be able to throw together one that looks like he painted his armor in the dark...while drinking...and sniffing the paint.![]()
Do YOU hear the voices too?!?!
TWB, I can volunteer as a rallying center in Australasia. I have a bit of time off during the week to organise posting stuff, especially if I don't have to pay for it!

Yep, I'll have a go. Should give me a break from painting Wood Elves....

Sure, I'm in. Finding a spare Marine won't be a problem.
My painting isn't all that hot though, so let's pick an easy scheme.

This is an army that's going to be composed of pieces by possibly hundreds of gamers (possibly), all of whom do things a little different when painting.
This means there'll be no consistent standard throughout the army, and winning a Golden Demon is not the point.
Just get in there and have a go, throw some paint and enough of a decent effort at the model and it'll be more than good enough for everyone involved.
And as, I believe, TWB said there's gonna need to be a lot more Marines with Bolters than anything else, which is why the project was based off the "Everyone's Got A Spare Beekee" principle.
If you don't end up doing a character or any of the so-called 'special' squads, don't let that be a cap to your creativity or enthusiasm.
Marine kits have remarkable variety as it is, and are easy as hell to put into action-packed poses.
Don't forget each Space Marine apparently has their own personal heraldry, so it shouldn't be hard to find a way to let your artistic mind run wild with the project
Although saying this will probably earn me a slap from TWB when the final shipping ends up with so many ultra-converted figures they're barely recognisable as an army anymore![]()

I have no words. I burned my dictionary and I have no words.
I'll help however I can....but I don't think I'll be able to supply a marine unless I can find a really really old one from when I started playing first time round (15 or so years ago), but I must warn you that of my painting skillz being somewhat below par....
I believe Blackadder put it very aptly when he said ' I know from long experience all my men have the artistic talent of a cluster of colour-blind hedgehogs.... in a bag.'
