Will someone be using the army at the next WarSeer tourney?
Well, so far we appear to have enough for 3 tactical squads (31 regular members) and 2.5 "special" squads (24 guilders). Plus, I assume we will have the Chapter Master (Nick), a couple of Captains (the Admins) and (?)Chaplains/Librarians (Mods).
That's half a company or so, not bad going for 2 days!
Like slack-jawed never Gnyaarg. Some then folks'll folks'll skunk, some. the but, again yokel eat a Cletus.

If people are donating vehicles, how will naming etc work?

I got around 20 marines which are unpainted (but undercoated in black), a razorback/rhino (needs stripping), around 2 librarians (need stripping) and a chaplain on bike (only the bike is painted)
But I don't know if my parents will allow me to send such a big delivery... although, if Nicj lives somewhere close to me, er, *talks to Nick* I drop the box off at your doorstep

Well throw me into the Scout Company, rather than a "special" squad. I only paint Marine Scouts and that is what I will be contributing.

How about other specialist personnel like Apothecaries, Standard Bearers and Techmarines? Are they included in the “special” squads?
Studying computer science and working part-time as an IT-supporter at uni, I feel a certain affinity for the technical personnel. So, if no-one else is given the assignment, I’d like to do a Techmarine.

How about an inventory/stock take of what actual models we have so far? Either as another thread (with a poll, i.e., "I have a space marine" (tick box) "I have a Land Raider Helios" (yeah right!) and so on), or everyone PM what they have going spare and can donate to someone who then makes a spreadsheet or whatever.

Two considerations first, first, we need twice as many bolter marines as anything else. Second we need an army list before we allocate roles, as wintermute hinted, people with a star next to their name will get to paint the more fun stuff just by the simple fact that there are more members than guilders, more guilders than mods and so on.
I feel it necessary to stress now that painting skill is not an issue here, do not feel like your painting abilities should exclude you from joining in. On the flip side, don't be expecting a special piece just because you were once honourable mention at the golden Daemon awards . . .

Umm...are we going for chapter composition, with marines carrying special/heavy weapons, or are we just going 900 or so bolter marines and 100 command staff?
