Fifteen pounds of Orcs, and more

haha dude, that's a amazing, not to mention insane collection you've got there. Really fun to see some of the stuff I recognize from when I started the game, in.. uhm, 1992-93.

Hah,another one of my threads that has lain dead for over a year.
Reason for threadromancy here is the anticipated arrival of Eighth ED. Obviously I need to get some stuff done to be ready to loose one or two games. (I am a real bad gamer...)

Soooo, what to paint? I think at least one unit of every army book entry should be there for a lick of paint. And I mean Every (xcept the doomdiver) Unit. Because I stocked up on black orcs. I have Ugezod and four of his boys. These and other gems I will show in time. Also Azhag has finally found his way to the moon swamps where my tribes dwell.

Attached are two pics that show most of the force as of now. Much needs paint.





Thereīs still a bunch missing, but you get the idea.

I thought it nice to let you guys decide which unit to paint next?!?

Thanks Warlord for your input. Although a good idea I decided to go for the black orcs. I found out I have a complete twenty mobsters regiment of them. Including the notorious Grimgor Ironhide, legendary Ugezod Muthacrusha and four of his companions from chronicle, I must do those. I have six of the very old giant black orcs, one Marauder Giant black orc, the aforementioned well known ones, one Kev Adams very big Greenskin I simply recruited as blackie. And three Nick Lund BOīs designed as second incarnation of Eaza Ugezod and dudes. Here I miss the Musicman and the Waaaghflag beara. Of the nineties series I have only one, of the last metal edition I own the command troupe, nicely enough the dead dwarf banner.

Cameras dead, but pics of those goodies will be up soon.

Also to follow, C15 slotta Orcs. Those slottaīd ones are not those earlier C15 and C16. However, I have a full set only missing one of sixteen or so. Same goes for C12 gobbos. More of that later.

Excellent models man! I've got a few pounds of the latest metal Black Orcs, from an army (or mixed O&G in a bag, more like) I bought off a player-no-more. A lot of these even older models you've got are actually really really good.

Now let's see the rest...

Ok, did some work on īem. Orcs are real hard for me to work on. I have so many of them, I get constantly distracted. So I slapped some paint on the blackies. I started at least. And I pulled out three River Trolls, the classics.Unfortunately one head is double, the coolest one missing. Donīt know how to ge that one.

Not quite right. In fact, the lower body and legs, of which one is part of the tail here, are from the shamans wyvern. All the rest is correct.

I did not pay enough attention when I bought it on ebay.

Now, the tricky bit will be to find the shaman on the other half of wyvern bits

Just a couple f days ago I missed out on the uberclassic wyvern, after the Tony Ackland one. With both rider and champ on foot. Not a lick of paint on it.

Bah, will get it sooner or later.

Isn't that exactly what I said?

To be accurate, here you have the shaman's wyvern, minus the head, the saddle and the wings (they're all three from Azhag's wyvern, well the generic plastic wings could come from any big flying lizard kit, it's not important. They must look quite big compared to the body, that old wyvern is smaller).

My two wyverns are on that pic, you can compare themif you want (I've converted Azhag's saddle though, I didn't like the things hanging underneath, plus I wanted it to be removable).

Well, you said it, from a certain perspective. Aznhag and the shaman share a wyverns body. Tail is different, upper part of head ad wings. And the right leg. So actually I am missing one leg and the tail.

However, thatīs nitpicking from my side. I messed up when buying it. Full stop. I am the *****.

Point is, how to get a wyvern with the missing parts without shelling out too much money...

Nicely painted squig rider too! I got my own one some days ago. So much stuff to paint.
