    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    @kiwichild: Thank you, I indeed love painting red. (not enough to react to those references though. But I watched Platoon a few nights ago and most of the time I had to think what has become of this promising young lad). I'm pretty sure I posted some recipies of the SH stuff I did earlier. What do you want to know?

    @TheConverter15: Cheers. I didn't convert the Terminators with the grid bases myself though.

    Okies, I did a little bit of additional work on the above Terminators. Mostly detailling and the power sword which didn't turn out quite as I wanted so I got annoyed and decided to start on the ton of other Terminatos I got to do. Again Blood Angels. You may start to see a pattern here but I assure you that it's totally different this time. Let's see, last year I did the 3rd edition Space Hulk minis for playing Space Hulk, now I did/am doing 40k Terminators to be used for playing Space Hulk so the next logical step is ...? Exactly, 3rd edition SH Terminators used in a 40k army.

    It's 16 Terminators in total. I split them up into two batches. Here's batch#1:

    ...and here's batch#2:

    I hope that you like them so far. I'm always open for comments, questions and critizism!

    Just caught up with this thread after a while so bare with me...

    Absolutely love the Orks and truck, the tech priests and bases are awesome, and the BA's are some of the best I've seen...

    ...... wait too much in one go, heads going to explode!!!

    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    @violenceha: Cheers! Once in a while I do those (about one every six months really :S ) so it's starting to get time for a new one. I was thinking of a Space Wolf because I got a few requests for those. What would you like to see?

    @Mega Nutz: Thanks very much!

    Update!

    Things are going a little bit slower these days but I'll try to have this first batch finished by Sunday. C&C welcome as always!

    These reds are really rich in a very good way...not as bright and 'in-your-face' like some BA's are. (I like the really bright ones as well, but it's nice to see some different ones as well).

    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    @violenceha: Alright, I'll see what I can do about those tutorials.

    @andyg2006: Thanks very much. I've always had great fun painting red and still like to experiment with new recipies.

    Right, the week's been a bit crazy and it's been way longer than I thought until this update. I even am not as far with painting as I'd liked to be. Anyway, here's the current state of things on the new BA terminators:

    I'll try to finish them tonight. The other BA terminators (from the Hybrids Space Hulk set) are finished. I'll post a picture of those very soon.

    So that's that, I'll get tons more stuff done the upcoming week. C&C welcome as always and thanks for looking!

    I hope you like them so far; they're mostly finished and I'm kind of burned out on painting BA terminators for now. Anyway, comments are welcome as always and see you soon!

    The BA termies ARE the "bad boys". The ones you have just done (here)REALLY look great!! I very much like the floors/bases of the models.

    Any chance of a bug's hand or just a clawed finger or two reaching up through the grillwork?

    Very, very nice Sigur. Fantastic work on all those details. The shoulder pads in particular looks amazing. I'll keep following your plog untill warseer freezes over (which when I think about it happend just the other day...).

    I like the sergeant's sword, neat effect you went with there. Between these and all the hybrids a rockin game is going to be had in somebodies basement!

    @anselminus: Thanks very much.

    @Crazy Harborc: hehe, nice idea but the customer won't let me.

    @Old School: Thanks very much!

    @Samurai33: Cheers. Let's see how long Warseer lasts this time (hopefully forever of course)

    @Mega Nutz: Thank you!

    @jdp: I'm sure there will be. :-)

    @Mr.Ultra: Cheers.

    @spekkiebig: Thanks, I hope so too.

    Oh look, there's something fun to paint for me - Malifaux minis!

    Here are the first finished minis - the Witchling Stalkers:

    In these pictures I just noticed one or two small things I should fix but I think they're finished enough in general.

    These guys are the next to be finished:

    Here's the bunch that's somewhat halfway done:

    ...and here are the poor saps who are hardly touched at this point:

    I hope that you like the piccies so far. I probably will add some pigments in the end to make everything look a bit dustier. Comments and critizism are welcome as always!

    Aye, nothing like a bit of Malifaux!

    I love the browns used,and the Death Spectres look quite good without the coffins they usually come with. I'm guessing that hat on Hans is a conversion piece then?
