Sigur, you have an amazing ability to make miniatures i don't much care for look awesome.

I miss Chris Farley.
amazing as usual..you make the best out of whatever mini you get!...
@anselminus: Thanks very much.
@Siam Tiger: Cheers. I didn't build these Genestealer Hybrids myself but the lasguns are Elysian Lasguns.
@violenceha: Thanks very much. I value this kind of compliment (having people admit that they like a mini I did despite not being into the miniature in general).
@Lord Azoth: Well, if life hands you lemons...Just kidding. It's always interesting to do certain miniatures more than once. (talking about characters there mainly, not tactical marines or something
).
Here's just a little something I slapped together tonight:
Alright, let's get an overview of projects: Once the Blood Angels are finished (and they will be soon) I will delve into Orks and Space Wolves. Looking forward to doing the Orks very much. I'm starting to lay off my resentment for post-'97 Orks.
edit: Badabing-badabang, we're done with this guy:
Now I need to fix a few things on the other Terminators and this one's done.

@anselminus: Woah, really looking forward to seeing that soopa kannon.
Here's another shot of the second batch of urban Blood Angels:
![]()
it's a horrible kit to build but really nice on warwagon^^
Yeah, I was almost inclined to get a super kannon when it was announced but it just doesn't go well with my Orks army in terms of style.
By the way, to the person who sent a squad of ninjas to steal my favorite hobby knife: This is not funny, give it back!![]()
I have to say your clients get less and less mysterious. ^^
Anyway lovely work as usual. The objective marker looks super cool, I don't know what it is, but it has a definite real touch to it.
These damn sons of ninjas! Stole my pincers too. *shakes fist*
@Gargobot: Thanks. The objective marker is in fact a 50mm "trench" base by Micro Art Studios but I made it to fit with my Turan IG regiments by adding the vines and vegetation (and a skull to make it grimdark). As usual, I thought some fluff ideas through while painting it and it's basically some very mysterious boxes an Inquisition crack force had to leave behind when they had to retreat from the [insert dudes on the other side of the table's name here]'s advance and some crafty platoon commander heard of it, deciding to get the obviously very valuable boxes which in fact probably hold some malicious artefact. So I'm basically going for some kind of pulpy "cursed nazi gold"/arc of the covenant theme with that thing.![]()
So lets see, what has sigur done in the meantime?
As anytime... many awful good looking miniatures.
Nice work
@Mathean: Besten Dank.
Update!
Test Miniature:
Grey Hunters Squads 1&2 WIP:
![]()
Update!
The customer asked for another test miniature with red gun casings too:
....but I'm pretty sure we'll stick with the black casings.
Anyhow, the first two packs of Grey Hunters are almost finished now, they only lack the gun casings (in case the customer prefers them to be red) and some minor details like grenades need some finishing touches. The third pack of Grey Hunters is still very WIP as you can see.
As for a more general overview and what you can expect to see in this project:
.) 3 packs of Grey Hunters, as seen above but each pack will also get an additional marine with wolf banner and an additional marine with a meltagun each.
.) 3 packs of Long Fangs with five missile launchers and a leader each
.) a pack of Wolf guard with the old combi-melta/power fist combination on each
.) about 10 Wolf Guard in Terminator armour with a variety of weapons
.) a Land Speeder
.) a Dreadnought
I don't think I'll pull through this whole project at once. For now I'm trying to get as many SW in power amour done as possible before I get too fed up. Once I get to this point, I will do a bunch of Orks.![]()

I must say sigur, i'm really looking forward to seeing you do more Orks.
I miss Chris Farley.
@violenceha: Cheers. To be honest, I'd prefer to paint the Orks now as well.
@anselminus: I bet you prefer seeing Orks.Don't worry, they will be up as soon as I get to them.
Just another quick update:
There's been a slight change in colour scheme - gun casings will be red, chainswords will without exception have yellow and black hazard stripes.![]()
loving the wolves, as with all your work
just out of interest, how did you do the damage on the shoulders?

YEAH!!! More wolves..love it sigur!

"Though the storm rages and the foe gathers about us, we are unmoved. Let them come: we are the warriors of the First Legion, and we have never known defeat!" - Brother-Redemptor Nemiel
@halosghost: Thanks. I do the battle damage with a mix of sponge and brush. I'm planning to do a Step-by-Step painting tutorial on Space Wolves once the first Grey Hunters are finished.
@npow34: Glad you like them. Cheers!
Another little update on that squad:
I really like these pictures to be honest. On the other hand I like them so much that I think that I'm severly undercharging for my services. I know, that sounds vain and totally unprofessional.
Anyhow, hope you like them too. Space Wolves are a chore to paint. All the details, that battle damage...and knowing that I got 17 chainswords to paint with hazard stripes isn't sweetening things either. Anyhow, comments and critique are welcome as always.![]()
I realy like the work you've done on the Grey Hunters so far. Don't know about the red guns and striped swords though.
(American customer?)
The Space Wolves look awesome so far Sigur. Very gritty and very in keeping with the setting. Looking forward to the tutorial to see if I can steal any great tips!![]()
