Those who know don't care any more, and those who care don't know.
i really like this model
@Codsticker: Commissions have priority I'm afraid.But the Infinity guys will show up again soon!
@ChrisMurray: Thanks muchly!
@Demoulius: Thanks.
@NCK: Cheers.
@anselminus: Thanks. Did you get my last PM?
Here's a few WIPs of the Drop Pod. Very interesting model. The doors are massive plates of resin which has advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: They stay closed when standing upright (not a thing all the plastic drop pods do) but be careful when opening. If you open one of the sides and it's got no ground to fall on to it will just rip the things that hold it right off. I highly advise the use of a rubber band to keep the doors shut while painting this thing.
Anyhow, I hope you like it so far. Week has been a bit busy. That's busy aside from painting stuffs. Probably other people would call it "really relaxed". I don't know. Er....happy weekend!![]()
yep i receive it![]()
That pod looks great! Love the weathering. It seems to me like that part of your painting is really evolving for every model.
Your last stuff on the last page won't load for me, no no comments there.I'm sure it's excellent though.
I love the weathering on that pod though, pigments?
A empty pod. I guess, it safely delivered it's load of vacationers to the shores of somewhere.
I am therefore I think OR I think therefore I am?
Hullo.
Well, it's been quite a while, hasn't it.
For the most part this update took me so long because a.) I've been working on Fantasy stuff and b.) once I was back to doing 40k stuff I worked on building an army (which isn't all that interesting to look at) and afterwards, and still really, I've been painting a few squads simultaneously so the overall proceedings weren't terribly quick either.
Anyhow, now I'm back and with first pictures of the "Battle for New Rynn City" themed Crimson Fists army:
There are all kinds of nice things coming up in this army so stay tuned!

Truly stunning paintjobs. The minis look great!
Superb Sigur! Love the dirty weathered look, and the variety in poses and "composition" is great. I really like the Termy banner too. Are those some fantasy heads I see in there?
very nice sig wont shoot much without bolters tho

Super nice Crimson Fists man! You were only off the grid for like two weeks, so I'd say this is a pretty huge update.
Will we be seeing the Battle for Rynn's World special edition Captain popping up, ya'think?

Nice job on the Crimson Fists.
I like the dark and brooding colour scheme. I find that most marine armies are a bit too colourful for my taste. These guys look like they mean business. They have just the right amount of battle damage and grime.
Anyone who meets these marines had better watch out. They're here to take names and kick ***.![]()

WOW! Can only agree to kublai!!![]()
@anselminus: Thanks!
@mallymoocow: Cheers!
@Stempe: Thank you. There is something rather iconic about blue-and-red space marines, especially with the older studded armour.
@samurai33: Thanks, I'm glad that you like them. There is one Fantasy head thrown in. I liked how the longer hair is in movement and I thought it would fit a dynamic pose.
@basher: The defense missle that went stray hit the boltgun stash. They have to run around, pretending to hol boltguns and shout "pow-pow" at the Orks.
@Solun Decius: Yeah, I've been working on the Landship quite a bit in between. Do you mean that 25th anniversary 40k miniature? If so - yes, the guy is going to show up, along with the banner. You'll also get to see another Pedro Kantor and a Telion (no Captain Cortez though.).
@kublai: Thanks, good to hear that they turned out well.
@Flatline: Thanks for commenting!
@Vimes: Cheers!
Update!
Crimson Fists Attack Bike!
Apart from that.... errrr.... oh, I noticed that there are two more expansions for Death Angel, that Space Hulk Card game (and one of my favorites by Fantasy Flight Games. In fact I plan to play it once again this weekend). Very much looking forward to getting those some time soon. And I have to say that Blood Bowl Team Manager looks really nice as well. FFG really know their stuff and manage to do the GW IP justice by packing them into very nice games.
Earlier today I tried filming myself while painting (mainly just as an experiment and because I can now). Turns out I have to somehow get the autofocus to work, my lighting again shows its weaknesses (maybe it's just the colour of my table though) and it's kind of hard getting the right angle so you can actually see what I'm doing. Still, fun to experiment with.
Aaaaaaalso, Rich Jones (I hope I remember the name right, sorry if I messed up) from Too Fat Lardies, the publisher of acclaimed rules systems like I ain't been shot, Mom, Charlie don't Surf or Sharp Practice, wrote an interesting article on his views about points systems in historical miniature wargames. You can read it here if you want.![]()
Alright, that's it for random babbling along with some pictures. This weekend should be good. After surprising amounts of snow yesterday the weather took a complete 180° turn and it looks like spring again today. I'll either power on on the Crimson Fists oooor do a very pretty Bloodbowl team. Let's see. Yeah, I guess that's all for now. Have a good weekend, people!
Love the fists. Where are the bases from or did you make them?
Really nice crimson fists, but the marines are missing their bolters![]()
