    @kublai:

    @Crazy Harborc: Hurhurhur, Papa Nurgle immediately took over everything in here.

    Okay guys, I'm posting another update on the GUO just because I really love how the fella is turning out. I basically played around on the wounds and the open flesh and all of that and I have to say that this "rotten/foul flesh" thing must be the grossest thing I ever painted. It's insanely fun. Not sure if the borders of the "sprung" open abdominal wall come out as well in the picture but I made those to be kind fo rotten as well. It looks so immensely nasty.

    Your Nurgle is the "pick of the litter" in my book.

    Oh....a brain fart....... A long ago opponent had a Nurgle (it was ALL metal) army. He had a cat. The cat got its paws on the Nurgle model....JUST the one minie. It "did things" with/to that Nurgle. The model had a certain smell to it after that. A certain feel to it too.

    The best part was....after that day, the Nurgle army just seemed to not do too good on the battlefield. I always liked that cat, True story.

    That's probably the best looking GUO I've ever seen. Well, most disgusting rather. Will you be applying varnish/TCR?

    Re: Battle Brush Studios Commission Log .... In Space!

    @Crazy Harborc: That is one magical cat.

    @Aedes: Thanks!

    @Demoulius: Oh yes, that's a cute one. The only tiny downside to this GUO may be the lack of Nurglings but the one cuddling makes up for it.

    @Hushrong: Thanks very much. That really is an icky effect and believe me, all the image search researchfor this model was NO FUN. Glad to know that at least it pays off.

    @Breazer: Oh yes, it makes for a really, really foul look.

    @Caiphas Cain: Thank you. Sorry, I'm not sure what "TCR" is in this context? I googled it but didn't come up with much useful info either. As for varnish - no real plans in this regard.

    To take a short break from The Icky I painted up this fella:

    Almost finished, all he really needs is some grime and dust like his Crimson Fists comrades.

    Other than that, I got me some more toys:

    After years and years of much browsing the Hasslefree online store I finally placed an order. I'll write up a litte review on the resin model and one of the metal models in a bit.

    Anyhow, don't cry, the Nurgle guy will show up again soon and I hope that you enjoy the Librarian until then.

    Right, so neither Space Marines nor candy works to get comments, eh? Well, I hate to resort to this but okay - here's the dwarf lady in tight clothes:

    Everybody say "hello" to Hayden! She'll be the TAG (mech) pilot of my Infinity crew.

    Any company that sends you candy with your order must be good!
    Hayden looks great... painting-wise. I think the sculpt itself isn't that great, looks more like a growth-restricted (is that PC?) human than a dwarf/squat/grymn imho.
    The GUO is downright nasty!
    Did you get my last PM, btw?

    I really don't like anything from hasslefree. I'm liking that librarian a lot though. TCR is tamiya (tamaya?) clear red. Generally the best blood looking thing out there.

    Why, hello Hayden! thats a pretty nice looking model actually, from what I can see from the model anyway...

    And indeed, any company bribing you with candy is obviously awesome and clearly knows what theyre doing

    Re: Battle Brush Studios Commission Log .... In Space!

    @Gargobot: Thanks! In fact Hasslefree are said to send you candy with every order. Or maybe just your first order but I THINK it's every single order. Very interesting candy too. Very soft and chewy, flavorwise right in the middle between fudge and fruit. At first I too was a bit surprised that Hayden's face isn't a little rounder as you're used to it from the regular Dwarf sculpt and such but now I think it kind of adds to her personality that the face is kind of narrow. The sculpt suggests that she's a tough one and maybe a rounder face wouldn't have worked that well with that. I don't know. I did indeed get your last PM and will reply tonight. Sorry for the delay.

    @Caiphas Cain: Oh right, Clear Red. Yeah, I used a bit of that on the GUO already. At this point I won't be adding too much any more, going for a more rotten look than bleeding.

    @Demoulius: Cheers. Maybe it's just me being really easy to manipulate but I'm really having a soft spot for Hasslefree miniatures. They are more or less the ultimate Mom&Pop store of the miniature world, Kev has a high output of really pretty miniatures, they have very good customer service and communication. If you want to know more about Hasselfree, Neil of the Meeples and Miniatures podcast did a big interview with them some years ago. Very interesting stuff.

    @Crazy Harborc: Thanks.

    @Borsil: Thank you very much. This GUO actually came out worse than I envision them. But then the artwork of the GUO surrounded by Nurglings with his pierced horns and candle on top of his head is THE ultimate GUO imagineing to me.

    Just noticed I got so carried away with the GUO that I completely forgot to post the finished World Eaters so far. Here we go:

    ...and especially for Elazar the Glorified - some close-ups of the faces:

    Hope you like them! Up next: FW Crimson Fists Apothecaries and more on Hayden! (I know that these "up next" things often turn out to be completely different things with me but this time I'm rather sure that it's going to be these models next. ) Seeya1

    Re: Battle Brush Studios Commission Log .... In Space!

    I missed the Hasslefree order post...So they give you candy with any orders you purchase? If some companies did that along with their high prices it wouldn't be so bad. I also like the Librarian. Especially the wear and tear effects around his knee.

    Lastly, those World Eaters are to die for!

    Re: Battle Brush Studios Commission Log .... In Space!

    @Demoulius: Thanks muchly.

    @Hushrong: Cheers, I appreciate the comment. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised about all the positive resonance the World Eaters generate.

    @mrtn: Thank you!

    @Breazer: Thanks a lot for dropping by again. Those FW Khorne Marines have really nice heads. My favorite is the one on the regular Berserkers champion. It's somewhat enlonginated which makes it look unsettlingly alien.

    Roight, let's see what we got here in terms of updates.

    First, because we all love Space Marines, here are the FW Apothecaries:

    WIP of course. One of the guys had his Bolt Pistol replaced with a Boltgun so he'd qualify for going into the Sternguard squad.

    Next, here's Hayden finished:

    I have no idea how it came to this but she turned out about 5000% cuter than planned. Originally I had plans for tattoos, sweatstains, grime but ... oh well.

    Hope you like the pictures and I'll start posting WIPs of the second Hasslefree miniature I'll paint for the review in my Fantasy Plog.
