    Very nice work on those Space Wolves! I like the way you've steered away from the blueish grey to a more "Crusade-era" stone grey. It really works much better, IMO.
    The Space Hulk Terminator looks really cool so far. Looking forward to seeing him (and his buddies) finished!

    Cheers,

    @Siam-Tiger: Yay! Thanks for that. Looking very much forward to infest german-speaking forums with my links.

    @Gargobot: Welcome back. You know, these Step-by-Step things I do occationally: Link to both

    @Monsterzonk: Again, thanks for the reply. I'm really trying to push to get these SHulk dudes done until the end of the month or earlier.

    Okay, I did not manage to be cool, instead I spent most of the Sunday playing silly computer games and doing administrative stuff.

    So here's just a silly old WIP shot of Gideon:

    Oh, and remind me not to do these super-long pictures any more. Photobucket always shrinks them down a little. Anyhow, I'll try to get him finished asap, especially as I still have to finish these World Eaters and already got another new army project on the table (apart from several smaller things)....

    @mrtn: Ah, thanks for the heads up.

    Last two terminators finished but I totally forgot about that chalice they come with so I have to paint that too. Yikes!

    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    Might be the pictures, but they look a bit less "popping" than the earlier ones? The edge-lighting seems a tad bit tamer compared to the oldies.

    Hmm, I got the Terminators all here on my table and they all look pretty similar. But I'll see where I can reinforce the edge highlighting on the last two guys.

    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    @tancrede: Thank you very much.

    @vahouth: Cheers. I will.

    @anselminus: Thanks, man.

    Sorry for the lack of updates lately. For once, there wasn't all that much 40k stuff I did, mostly Fantasy. On the other hand, I didn't do an update of anything in over a week or so (been unwell and didn't get much done at all).

    But now I'm back with a WIP of the first bunch of Death Korps of Krieg:

    Apart from that, the finished Khorne army:

    *) Single pictures and a proper army shot are to follow

    The Space Hulk minis are finished as well. I'll do pictures of those once they're varnished.

    Currently in the works: Imperial Fists testmini.

    And some rumors - according to my anonymous sources at GW HQ (hint: It's Gav Thorpe), this is what we'll get with the upcoming Codex New Marines:

    (because space marines riding things is cool and the bigger things are the better. You buy the mount and add either Pedro Kantor, Vulkan or Marneus Calgar as an upgrade)

    Here's a shot of a rumoured new heavy support choice, the Superknight:

    Wow! Can you take two of those per HQ slot? Then I'm getting four for my apocalypse, true scale, pre-heresy legion of White Scars!!1

    Amazing army shot of that all-metal Khorne Army. Really really cool stuff!
    DKoC... awesome!

    The Superknight looks an awful lot like EVA-02. Is that a Gashapon by any chance?

    Love the Khornies and can't wait for your spin on the chimera.

    Nice Kriegs! Could we get a closeup on them? Where did you get their bases?

    LOLZ @ Chimaera! How was it to assemble? The price tag is a bit intimidating, but the mini (maxi?) is absolutely gorgeous.

    Does that mean you're painting 40k again? Or more importantly does that mean you'll paint less Fantasy?
    Anyway brilliant painting, as always.

    Re: Sigur's sci-fi project log (a Space Marine, Orks, randomness guaranteed!)

    @Solun Decius: :-D You may take two for one HQ choice if you get a 12 months White Dwarf subscription.

    @Aulbath: Aren't Gashapon these things that come in eggs? Anyway, this one's an incredibly expensive action figure from some comicbook store. I got it (and an EVA-09) back when I was insanely into NGE. You know, back when VOX used to broadcast some anime shows very late at night. NGE and Bubblegum Crisis (2032 plus spin-offs) are the only anime series I ever really got into.

    @Nightseer: Thank you. This update has a few closer-up shots. The bases are scratch-built apart from those of the command squad. Those are sold by Secret weapon, along with a scenic piece of trench I'll do as well.

    @precinctomega: Cheers. I bid you welcome in these humble halls. The pieces went together really, really well. They only required minimal filling of gaps. The fact that the claws come as single parts is a little daunting at first but probably was a very clever move by the company and they're really easy to insert into the paws. The miniature really is gorgeous (I think I'll say that over and over again a few times in the next few weeks) and like nothing I painted before.

    @Gargobot: Yup, back to 40k. These DKOK have been in talks for a long time, I've had the Khorne dudes for way too long as well (and of course the Space Hulk dudes). It was time I finish all these. And there's more 40k stuff coming up.

    Update!

    Today I reorganized some boxes of stuff and dusted off a shelf. Seeya!

    P.S.: Here's some pictures of stuff too.

    There's also a new picture of the Chimera in my Fantasy log. See you soon!

    I must just say that I adore your classic Khorne army. Superbly painted. It just goes to show how great OOP minis can look.

    The krieg banner is very nicely done as well. It's quite impressionistic.

    Adam

    p.s. thumbs up on the Imperial Fists.
