Its been a while since i last updated my Emperor's Children and i have to add a few things for the GT finals.Here is a wip version of Sergeant Veranius of the second squad,this time with a powerfist and Mrk III power armour.Also,a little teaser of the things to come...






-Following the Imperial victory on the planet Murder,the Mechanicum of
Mars thought to congratulate the lauded Lord Commander Eidolon of the Emperor's Children
Legion for the great victory and the extermination of a tech-heretic xenos spieces.A squadron of personalized Land Raiders was constructed and
fitted with great flame cannons on the sponsons.The traditional twin-linked heavy bolter on the front of the
vehicles was also replaced by the newly constructed assault cannons,their higher rate of fire
added to the infeno caused by the flame cannos.The swarms of Megarachnids caused heavy
casualties on the Astartes Legions and it was decided by the adepts of Mars that a spearhead
of Land Raiders armed with such weapons would prevent hordes of xenos from inflicting such losses
on the warriors of the Imperium again.These vehicles would embody the flaming wrath of
the Omnissiah and none that stood before them would live.In total,5 of these mighty vehicles were constructed
and named 'Land Raider Murder' in honour of the Imperial Victory over the xenos on that planet.They were gifted to the
Emperor's Children Legion for their heroic attempt to rescue their brothers of the Blood Angels Legion in a grand ceremony.
Eidolon's reaction while thankfull and gracious on the outside,was quite different on the inside.
The Lord Commander despised the memory of that foul planet.The verbal insults he had to endure
from Captain Torggaddon of the Luna Wolves had left his ego hurt,the humiliation in front of the Warmaster unbearable. In the end the might of the III Legion
had bested the Xenos scum...He didn't need such brutal machines,that fought with no elegance whatsoever under his command.
Were was the art of marksmanship or the beauty of manouvering if you just run forwards and burned everything in your path?
Such simple methods of waging war were better left for simpler Legions,like the Salamanders...No,the Emperor's Children had
nothing to gain from these so-called "gifts" on their road to perfection.
Thus it came to pass that the squadron of Land Raider Murders was divided and attached to several Companies of the Legion,where they served for the remainder of the Great Crusade.
They were later deployed on Istvaan III en mass,their firepower would surely help the Emperor's forces on the ground to breach the traitor governor's Palace.
What happened next on Istvaan III is the stuff of legends.Stories of heroism and betrayal unfolded and billions died for one man's vanity.The memory of the Land Raider Murder was lost to the Imperium,along with the glories of old that it represented.

Nice work mate, Veranius looks really cool, especially the drum mag on the bolter, is he based upon the Chronus model?

I painted up a Librarian for the GT Finals(i found out that one should never leave the Fortress Monastery without a Librarian).I really dont like how the face came out in the pics,it looks way better in real life.I guess its time for a new camera...

I was a bit apprehensive about this thread at first. Being a rabid Chaos fan, I dislike most things loyalist. However, I'm loving your preheresy EC better than almost any postheresy EC I've seen. Actually, I dislike Slaaneshi stuff a great deal, but your EC ROCK HARD!!!

WOW I almost died from that Fulgrim, he looks absoloutely stunning mate, he looks perfect as he should but still has a bit of a gritty look about him, the librarian looks really cool aswell, as do the other models you're working on, can't wait to see more.

You know, the amazing thing is, Ive been reading the horus heresy novel 'Horus Rising' again and remembered how close horus was to Fulgrim, seeing your Emperors Children really makes me wanna stop doing Sons of Horus and get onto doing some Luna Wolves
