Taking a stab at Chaos Dwarfs

I'm thinkin of building a CD army... 2000 pts

Now, are they a decent list? I like some of their (limited) magic items...

Questions are, how would I make the following...

Lammasu (griffin body, ogre head, add horns?)
Great Taurus (a bull with wings?)
Bull Centaurs (would Centigors be a good model to use, or is it better to convert models or forget them completely for the list) ?

The rest is pretty straight forward...

Go ahead or Skip making a CD army (will use in tourney)

bull cets are chaos dwarfs with their feet cut off and bulls bodies under them. Centigot with the body cut off and replaced with a feetless dwarf would do.

Use the old blood thristers head, a large bulls body and that'd do it.

large bull with wings for the taurus

I have the old army book and quite a few old models but that pretty much somes them up

Probably the best list in the game next to VC and Skaven.

10 man Hobgoblin units? Look the list over carefully...

When I first saw a centigor model, I was surprised as to how scrawny it looked. A bull centaur should look more massive, so I think it would be better and cheaper to find plastic bulls (farm toys). If you used GW dwarfs for the upper body, wouldn't that be tourny legal?

The greenskins give them great variety, BUT they're greenskins! I just can't get past that. I must not be chaotic enough myself. For posterity, I wonder if GW will keep the greenskins with the CD. Afterall, 6th edition saw the Empire lose the halflings and ogres -- it may be a trend. You may want to make a list that has a bit more dwarf and less gobbo in it if my crystal ball is right. Just a thought...

CD are one of the most powerful lists going. They can be played offensive or defensive among the best. Check stats on blunderbuss, earth shaker cannon, bull centaurs, even sneaky gitz, and O&G slave troopers.

Only hard problem is getting CD models or converting your own.
