We don't know much. If Nagash is going to have a model, it'll be a new one, since there's been talk of "good" sketches of him. It isn't likely because he can't be properly represented by the rules. i.e. He's too powerful.

Teclis is the most powerful living mage- he has rules. Lord Kroak can level cities and he has rules. Nagash probably shouldn't be done, but I'm not sure he's too powerful- if the Skaven can kill him, how hard can he be?

Ummm...no. The Skaven freed Alcadizzar and gave him the Fellblade. And off with Nagash's head!

    Re: rise of nagash

Not all of the council of thirteen died. Three of them did, as they were using magic to protect Alcadizzar from Nagash magic as he awoke. They weren't present, they were directing their magic from Skavenblight. However, he was asleep, after casting the great spell of summoning, which raised the dead in all of Khemri, so was techincally very weak compared to what he was immediately BEFORE the great spell of summoning.

HOWEVER, to get to that powerlevel he had fuelled his power from a Warpstone meteorite below Nagashizzar. This thing was massive, I believe the Skaven warred with Nagash over it for 300 years or some such.

Unless he has found an equivalent power source know, I don't think we'll be seeing anything so drastic. However, he is probably the most determined spell caster in the whole warhammer world, and has come back from not only his original death, but near total annihilation at the hands of Acadizzar (armed with the Fell Blade, still the most potent weapon in the whole warhammer world) and destruction by Sigmar... He certainly could be represented in game rules, but as with all such characters they would not perfectly gel with the fluff because Warhammer as a game does not operate on a scale suitable to mix with some of it's more high fantasy background.

I'd rate Ghal Maraz above it. And nothing beats the Sword of Khaine.

With regards to the Seers, I was under the impression that he killed two and another died soon after from his "wounds". Which is acceptable, since when you're channeling your power over such long distances, you're bound to end up using less power than you would if you were right there.

As to Nagash, he is currently out and about, but he has taken on the role of a puppet master, pulling the strings of Krell and Kemmler. I don't think he'll get rules, but there might be something that happens.

Sorry boys but he is TOO POWERFUL. You are forgetting that we are speaking about someone who almost kill sigmar, HE FOUGHT 10 hours with a *********** GOD, he is who has died three times, gromril and warp stone were materials of the sword which kill him. We re talking about the boy who practically discover "the UNDEAD magic", his eyes causes automatically 2d6S4 jejeje. He summon all the dead of the khemri. Skaven and humans fight TOGETHER vs him.

    Re: rise of nagash

    Um, yeah.

Firstly, he is missing both his Hand and his Crown. That alone will put a major dent in his power. I doubt he can gather even half the power he once could.

Second, Sigmar was not a god.

Thirdly, the "ultimate spell" not only took a good three days and three nights to cast in the first place, to accumulate enough power, he had to consume a mountain of warpstone and sacrifice thousands of Orc and Goblin slaves. And after casting said spell, he was tired and exhausted.

Fourthly, Teclis' power is supposed to be on a par with his. Sorry, but if Teclis gets the rules, then so can Nagash.

    Re: rise of nagash

Even weakened a lot, he'd be the equivalent of a level 5 wizard with lots of magic special abilities. And he's a huge monster too, so expect at least giant-like stats. I mean, he'd probably be costier then the undead frog of doom!

And IIRC, 2 Council members died when Alcadizaar was killing Nagash, and he died only twice.

I doubt there will be any rules for him in a campaign, but I'd like to see special army lists for his armies though, and I thing this is what will happen.

    Re: rise of nagash

Eldacar don´t joke with me. Don´t compare someone like Teclis (so young and not the best mage absolutly) with Nagash. THE WIZARD. THE BLACK SORCEROR. THE DEATH INCARNATE. Lord of Undeads. Everybody atacks him. Nobody enters Naghasizzar. Teclis is a child comparing with nagash. He CAN´T DEFEAT Malekith, he can´t save his race. They are extinct and nagash always be there. Teclis needs potions to live, Nagash kills dragons hitting with his own hands. Summon khemri´s deads is the biggest spell of the history of warhammer. If summon 3d6 skeletons is difficult 11+ ¿what´s the difficult for 1.000.000 dead? Make the math´s dutys boys! jejeje

Completely different from the council of 13

But Nagash was recovering from one of his mass spells. You can use that as an excuse.

Where I will reply with, he's lost his hat, his hand, he's low on strength and basicly a shadow of his former self.

Fellblade has lost no power whatsoever and still exists plus there is more powerful people and weapons in the WHW.

    Re: rise of nagash

Darthie, you need to buckle down. Remember, this is but a hunch. After all, Lord Kroak is the Slann who made a huge bowl of protecting energy around an entire pyramid, and all the Daemons of Hell couldn't get through. Still, there are rules for him, is there not? I think that GW needs to tone down the rules and fluff, like making him weak due to this-or-that. Sure, he will be obscenely unbalanced, but hey, so's Teclis, Zacharias, Be'lakor and practically most of the other über special chars out there...

    Re: rise of nagash

I never understood why Nagash got such a huge mini. He is after all technically human, well he is a black animated skeleton now but still he shouldnt be giant sized or anything silly like that.

In my opinion there should be no new Nagash mini, he is much to powerful (as are a number of special characters) and he is being much more careful about exposing himself to danger these days having learned his lessons and seems to be contenting himself with influencing key 'undead' characters like Kemmler (I know he has been made a liche recently but he was so better in the old days) and Mannfred Von Carstein.

Gary Morely made a complete **** of the last Nagash mini and things should be left at that. A Nagash army list is another matter entirely.

What time period did his old stats represent. Then he was on a par with Teclis in terms of magical power and had nasty physical stats as well. Actually he had lost his hand then didnt he, and Im fairly sure he didnt have his crown either.

    Re: rise of nagash

Well, another reference to the power of nagash is that he controls Heinrich Kemmler. Remember, Kemmler is the Undead Lord who defeats ten high mages in the empire ALONE. OK, the combat turns him crazy but now he is sane, and "someone" ordered him to summon KRELL, ex-warrior at nagash´s orders. Luck? i don´t think so. If people who is powerful as krell, kemmler (so good at magic as teclis better with GW rules), Manfred and other people work for Nagash... He is the definitive BAD GUY. He is "the sauron" of warhammer. All news about his campaign point out that it will be a fight TO SAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD FROM THE UNDEAD. If you read the "slayer saga" of gotrek and felix you will know nagash created an object which controls ALL the VAMPIRES in the world. Vlad Von Carstein used it in the Vampire Counts´s war. PLEASEEEEEEE ¿HOW CAN YOU THINK HE IS ONLY A UNDEAD LORD MORE?. He is the FINAL BOSS. THE EVIL INCARNATE. I´m trembling before his aparition.
Kemmler: -¿Can you hear my Lord Nagash?
    Nagash: -Yes, my slave
    Kemmler: -RISE!
