Some awesome conversions there. Ive still got long ways to go with my Chimera, still in pencil stage atm. But rest assured i will post pics during construction. Have to lve the use of lego on those conversions, i may have to dig out my lego, see what i can figure out.

that 6x6 looks rather like an M8 Greyhound... think it looks a little stumpy though...

I second the use of wire mesh on those sentinels Brush Your Teeth. It looks excellent!

I love that German guy's "Avanger", I hope to make a light sam vehicle like that at some point for my panzer grenadiers.

Where is my IA:1, it should have come already!

Space Monkey those German inspired vehicles wouldn't happen to be painted Shadow Grey with Space Wolf Grey highlights, would they?

Spacemukie, nice camoflage on the Space Wolves tanks. Preserves the Chaper Livery nicely while looking a bit more practical... I think more SM players should have a go at camoflage.

The Exterminator is especially nice. How did you do the Turret?

I'm also constructing my HQ as an Exterminator. 11 BS4 shots are just scary.

Might post some pics of my converted Basilisk later tonight, I constructed a plasticard gunshield and made some modifications to the crew. Looks quite spiffy I must say...

Yeah, it's my favourite of the lot, although I can't claim the turret is my own design, It's from a Clik-Clak(SP? ) I picked up 3 of em for £10 in my local model shop, they're great 6 wheel ARV's, I use them as a Salamander scout platoon just ripped of the turrets and replaced them with autocannon, so I was left with the spare turrets, which once they have the accesories from the Tamiya or ERTL tank sprues look quite good IMHO. The guns are obviously just from the standard GW Exterminator.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Dodgy Ed: like those tanks a lot!
loving that T34-esque turret on the exterminator... very appropriate...
s that the old armourcast baneblade? im guessing its still WIP? looks ok so far, but needs spicing up...
nice job on the winter whitewash...
the only thing that sticks out is the very regular line of mud along the bottoms of your tanks... its just too regular... a few splashes here and there will add a little life...

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

It is indeed the old AC Baneblade, the modular one (Yes I am looking for another track unit so I can field both aspects of it at once ). Yeah, pretty much everythings a work in progress, most of it got batch painted for the tank battle at GW earlier this year, so none of it's really finished.

Thanks for the praise about the winter white wash, took me a few years to eventually get that one right.

I take your point that the mud looks perhaps a little too uniform, although I maintain that mud splatter would be similar over most vehicles if they are all in the same field. That said, I will try and break it up on the other vehicles.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

oh indeed it would be similar across a number of vehicles...

but what im talking about is tthe seemingly straight line of mud along the bottoms of the russes...

Agree with you ther treadhead too regular. The pattern will vary according to how flat, messy, difficult the ground driven over is, That having been said if you've ever seen a Challenger coming off salisbury plain I defy you to work out what colour it is! they get completely plastered, but out course that does not make for an interesting paint job.

    Dodgy Ed very nice
