I agree with SDKFZ - the Sciuridae looks very much like a BMP-1 with the HKM sitting over the gun barrel. I'm very interested in that artillery turret - it's reminiscent of the 2S1, though the Rangefinders are an interesting addition - the second gun would look good for a Medusa I think.

SDKFZ: Stereoscopic rangefinders, remember this word, thanks

Sauragnmon:In fact, I design second gun as Griffin, Medusa`s rule is more like heavy StunG now, like SU152.

    Sovietred,

The smoke launchers are from "Old Crow" models. I tend to use them now as I really do not like the currrent GW ones. They look like crap actually.

On the other hand I'm very impressed with your "Sciuridae" Kit. Is it the named for a planet, person or thing? I have several of your side armour kits which will be fitted to my Griffins and Medusa over the next month. The kit go together very well. I had no problems fitting it to the GW kit. The Smk Launchers work really well on the Cupola armour. I will be keeping an eye on how your SP Guns come out.

@Sovietred: Duh. The name for your SPA is SEXY!. What other name could there be?

Just when I thought I had all the IG armor I could ever want, you come up with something new. Thank heavens for Christmas cash that I can set aside till you release it. You are a resin god.

It's a turret. A TURRET! Got it? There is no such thing as a turrent.

Done (most) of the other side of my light tank.

And a picture to show the idea again, although the hull will be slimmer and possible loose its heavybolter.

If it is a light tank then how about putting an autocannon in the turret and like you say removing the heavy bolter, apart from that I have to say it's looking bloody fantastic. Ala scimitar http://hmarmedforces.com/blog/about/army-battle-tank/

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

I would posit that if you designed it right, it could be a good Armored Sentinel stand in - it would explain the lower mobility through rough terrain, and the bulked up armor over a sentinel quite easily.

@ nedsta: Here you have the light tank with a autocannon turret fromone of my old chimeras. Thanks for that link.

@ Sauragnmon: Could work, but im having problems changing from feet to tracks.

    Latest pics.

Changed the hull armament to twin stubbers, all in the spirit of the light tank of the 30:s.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Started work on my mini-leviathan again.
This is how she looks when ive stacked everything on the frame.

As my lev. is smaller, i choose a smaller gun for the hull. Its a stormsword cannon from the shadowsword kit.

Managed to get the back door in aswell.

Hope to show you more soon.

Nice Leviathan. But maybe instead of the middle LC turret, an AA turret? And some HF/HB front weapons for close defense?

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Thanks for the encouragements, Mates !

@ laudarkul: These turrets are just to show the basic idea. It will get twin heavybolters in the forward and rear turrets and lascannons (not twins) in the middle ones.

I like to keep my armaments lighter then the one on BoLS for example.
As my one is some sort of SDKFZ Forge world mini leviathan.
So im not going to add a lot of extra guns. Itll only have the ones it has now.
If i add anything itll only be stubbers.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

The BoLS Leviathan is rediculus. The size is way off, and the weapon load out is just silly.

And SDKFZ, you Leviathan is closer to the size of the epic model, than even mine. Leviathans had roughly the same footprint as a Baneblade.
