Tinners - need to figure out how the massive shells get into the breach. I'd like to see something based on a robotic loader like the lifters for loading dropships from Aliens, or the FW sentinel lifter. Any plausible crane will dominate the back end maybe too much.

    Easy.

    A Trojan can do it.

Yeh thats pretty much what the Trojan/ammo carrier for this will look like. My Other Trojans are loosely based on the FW model and the German BergePanzers.

Brushfire, I really, really like your Orky tank. Using a toy chassis as opposed to a model really helps disguise it's origins - I know it's supposed to be a Pz III, but there's so much about it that's "wrong" it doesn't look like a typical kit bash. Also, I love the way you've used the battle wagon turret base to imply vision slits.

One question, what are you using it as? Battlewagon, Looted Wagon or Big Trakk?

@Brushfire = That's one cool Orky tank, Brushfire.
@Tinners = I'm working on a breech-loading Ork self propelled gun (but based on a Leman Russ) in a very similar style + with a separate loading-machine (which I couldn't figure out how to do)...your design is everything I wanted mine to be.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

@Cthell = apart from mine not having the 'cab'-section on the rear right-hand side of Tinners' wonderful creation, it's a smaller scale, but has the same gun layout + sliding tray/mechanism for loading shells ('though sadly mine is nowhere near this skill-level).

Now you come to mention it, however, the old epic ork vehicles (lungbursta, Ork speedsta's, battle fortresses, etc) do have a really nice charm to them.
No! Too many projects already...don't need any more...must resist..! (lol).

Thanks I'm embarrassed to say, I'm not sure. I don't have the Ork codex. Though I paint them, I don't play Orks---yet.
I'm currently working on an IG army. But I'm considering branching out and building an Ork army. It's a great army to practice scratch building, 'cause if I make a mistake, I can say it was done to make it more "Orky"

Okey, Tinners. Thats one cool looking arty piece your building there. Just love that breach and the pistons.
Also like that youve kept to those original drawings by FW.

@ Brushfire: Very orky PzIII Looks awesome. As said before, using a cheap toy makes it look less like a kitbash and more like an ork tank.
Do like your rear gunner Great pinting aswell.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Cheers SD. Yeh I stuck with the FW drawings because I love the style off it, only thing I've changed has been to detail the sides like an actual Malcador and not like that. It's also a bit longer hull wise.

Anyway, wee update pics. This isn't its gun, just a place holder to show what it'll look like bulked up.

Very impressive stuff, Tinners! (Hope mine might be even 1/2 as good as yours one day).

Here's something i've been working on. Nothing too complicated, build from the leaman russ kit with some basilisk bits. When finished it will count as a malcador annhillator

NEovo - Interesting idea, like how it looks. Only criticism might be that your trench rails on the back are a little short to actually serve the purpose - they're meant to give further tail stability when crossing trenches so the tank doesn't immediately get stuck right to the bottom in the trench and helplessly exposed.

The muzzle on that is just a Plumbing "End Stop" I use them a lot for my guns. But that isnt the final gun for this tank.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

@ neovo: Thats a new one, looks cool.

Finally got round to do the decals on the leviathan.
Here are the bridge sides like i tried to explain that id do them

Crappy shot of the front with "load marker", 342 tons. Shes a bit heavy, this girl

And heres showing the whole vehicle.

Now i need to drybrush it and add some soot to the barrel and exhausts, then the lev. itself is done.
Then theres the crew and some sort of flag, me thinks.
