Nedsta, I'm surprised SDKFZ wasn't aware of silly putty.
Masking tape when torn and using the torn side as the edge creates interesting shapes too.

Silly putty masking IS a classic. Your stuff looks good. Post more.

Cheers Vex, some very nice looking tanks there.
Well one side mostly done now (grumble grumble bloody heavy bolter snapped off grumble grumble)

And the need to go over this section to cover a few bits then time to get highlighting and relocate the putty

@ Vex: Could have some thing to do with it not being on sale here in sweden, only heard about it on tv some weeks ago.

@ nedsta: That camo looks great ! To bad about that heavy bolter. Can you still swivel the mount ? If so, you might be able to pin it back in place

If not.......well here comes the hard part, youll need to pin it at an angle. Hope you can mend the damage, Mate.

To be honest i dont tend to use decals, if i wanted markings of some kind i would probably free-hand or airbrush them on.

I only painted this one for the item on my web site, and for showing people at shows, so have no plans for any markings, and definaly nothing that would make it too specific.

I have the same problem with my painting sometimes, it can very hard to truely critique your own stuff. for example, there has been several times i painted something for a competition, i could still see flaws in it, and so was not 100% happy, but it then went on to win a demon for a forgeworld best in show, heh.

So, long story short, the work is good mate, as i said, i only had to do a little tidying and it was good to go (well, and make the guns of course )

so Tinners... speaking of good work..

    Looking good!

A question re: these Tinnelton turrets, how well do they attached to a Russ hull? Is there much finagling involved?
A Chaos Space Marine army may include Fabulous Bill.

Where did the FW faqs go?

They fit perfectly on the new leman russ hull. There are two other adapters in the kit, one is for der new chimera, not sure what the other is for, my guess is the old leman russ kit.

As my Vostroyan regiment nears its 6th year of work, I have more tanks to add:
These guys are kommando khaki over catachan green. Unfortunately my lighting makes them look pretty white! Also, my name is LotE and I rarely do weathering
