MrP I'm amazed you still have a pot of Chainmail! lol

I love those bombards, they're fantastic. It looks like they came straight from the battlefield!

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Here's my latest tank for my Krieg army:

As suggested by some, I painted it in my usual camouflage colors.
I added some scratch-built steps on the front, the heavy stubber (magnetised and representing a heavy bolter) and a flexible antenna.

Greenbull, damn you for upstaging me - that's so beautiful it's positively tank porn!

Thankee! Erm, I have vague plans to provide them with Trojans eventually, and no real preference for what to do next, so I could place a trio of Trojans at the head of the building and painting queue. They won't be up for a while, though - I'm going to Greece on Sunday for ten days, and I doubt the customs people would like me taking a Stanley Knife. Besides, I'd end up with sand getting in my glue!

Cheers, old boy! It was an expensive moment of madness some years ago to buy a whole battery of the things!

Thankee, sj! Do they not do Chainmail any more? I'm terribly behind with these things - I only found out Flesh Wash had been discontinued the other week when I saw some chap had opened a thread about it. I've too many old paint - even some of the round 20ml pots of Citadel Colour range from back in the day. Which is a smidge more than today's 12ml pots, so maybe that's they've lasted!

I'm sorry MrP, didn't mean to upstage you. Hope you understand I wanted to post the pictures the moment I was finished...
But no worries for the near future, since I only have some vehicles to do that will be identical to the ones I already posted here, and I don't plan to post those. ( 2nd Vendetta, 3rd Chimera ) In a couple of weeks I plan to buy the armageddon pattern medusa that will be used as my second Colossus. I prefer to do different things instead of repeating. Once the medusa is finished I will post it.

Oh, I was just being silly, old boy - I'm certainly not upset to see such a lovely piece of work from you! I definitely look forward to that Medusa - and I think I speak for all when I say I'd like to see thy other works, even if you don't fancy posting them.

@ MrP - lol last time I went to the GW store/hobby store, they had Mithril Silver, or something like that anyway. But not Chainmail! I couldn't believe it! I started the hobby roughly 8-9 years ago... and only recently I updated my paint collection with the foundation paint and the new wash/ink boxed sets. Well worth the moolah honestly, since I hate buying individual pots for like 6-7 dollars.

@ Greenbull - wow a fantastic job! Ooo I do love it when models are finished to such high quality.

I really need a better camera, but here is a look at an Ares Pattern Land Raider I built for my Daemon Hunters. The red seems to wash out a bit, might just be the camera though. ; /

    Slaaneshi(sp?) tanks do.

If they do come in pink they should also have fuzzy dice, ground effects, a lift kit, and some thumpin' woofers... :cheese:

Indeed, that dozer-blade looks promising. If the rest of the models gets as much love, it will turn out great!

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

Thanks for the comments, not sure how the painting will go as it will be the first time i've tried some of the methods from the FW book but i've got hair spray, weathering powders and oils etc to play with so i'll have a go and see what comes out teh other side!
