No, that was the Grave for Seven Brothers. The Russians were not a very imaginative lot, but they sure didn't like American tanks (and why would they, to be honest, when they could have a T34)

I've PM'd auntie Baggers and she's fine with the idea. Her suggestion for a campaign badge is to paint tracks across the crests of our helmets...

    Tread heads, you see...

I vote for the tank and Laurels too, then again I would 'cos I designed it...

dunno... i cant see myself painting that tank and laurel design freehand on thirty odd vehicles... thats why i preferthe TH one... simple and easily applied!!

I think the TH is more stylish, however the laurel and tank is more of an medal/berret thing in my opinion.
so I'd paint it on my tank commanders and the TH on a turret/gun mantlet.

Nice job on the demolisher, It has a seriously big gun which is always a plus!
Did you make the tracks from cardboard?

Unless you're a titan in which case...

Great tanks there lachlin, I really like the beaten up look you've managed to capture, especially on the first one.

WIP Sentinels with the Armoured Crew Compartment upgrade.

I went for a more high-tech look, which I think improved the already awesome Sentinel models.
Conversions include the Lascannon, engines and extra armour to the roof, hips and shins.

Kaaijer. Those are some very ingenious conversions... I like

Oh, and Lachlin, the general rule of thumb is that anything with a AV value is welcome. Even filthy Xenos tanks...

I'm guessing those looted Russes are from a Deathskull army. I am endlessy tempted to put together a ramshackle Deathskull "Armered Kompanee" with Russes and Basilisks, Battlewagons and Buggies. And it would be blue to make it lucky...

Getz: Thanks! Yes these tanks see use in my Deathskull army, but I'm also throwing together an Armored company (guard rules) modelled like Orks.

the two gunwagons in the back are getting turned into chimera halftracks.

I was just planning on using the CA Deathskulls Clan list, or possibly Kult of Speed with all the Guntruks and Battlewagons converted out of Guard tanks to a greater or lesser extent...

The deathskull klan list allows you to make a very orky "armored krumpany" list like you described. Looted tanks, battlewagons and buggies? MMMM Orky!

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

I can now report that I'm picking up the pace in constructing my Neo WWII german army. I've now almost finished a Panzer II representing a Panzer four (due to appropriate size) Leman Russ Demolisher conversion. I've made some artillery, some troops. And made a Kettenkrad Sentinel.

I've also invested countless hours into research and planning.

I'm Going to make approximately 1600pts of troops, and 1100pts of vehicles. 3/5 of the required material has been purchased, adding up to approximately £450.

I have to warn you though. This is an extremely long term project... We're talking years here. Hadn't it been for my camera phone dying on me right after taking WIP shot's I'd be serving them to you in this very post...
