Stunning work on the tanks and Valk.

Agreed, that stuff is great! Love the camo-netting - any pointers? :chrome:

Very nice work indeed! I'm not a fan of Leman Russes anymore, but yours looks very good.

yes, the leman russ sponsons fit nicely on the side I just shaved off the heavy bolter and stacked 2 lascannons on the mount. the camo netting is made from medical gauze. i just painted it with a mix of white glue and water until it was well coated then daped it on the model, once it dries its hard as a rock then I prime on top of that.

Can we see some pics of the belly and from astern of that Vendetta? I thought I wasn't going to like the way it looked, and don't care for FW's version, but I think you've changed my mind.

Superb nose art by the way.

Those are amazing. I love what you did with the russ hull, switching the view ports and the heavy bolter mounting.

Re: The Imperial Guard Tread-head thread

funny thing is most of the little conversions I made to the russes were done out of necessity as almost all of the tanks are salvaged from a friend who liked to keep them all in a sack, most of the cupolas and turrets were busted up pretty bad and a lot of them had missing weapons. I made the colossus with the closed top because the basilisk that i got from him had a broken barrel and it was missing all of the railing on the back. i got it all super cheap though 3 russes, 2 chimeras, 2 hellhounds, a basilisk and about 200 cadians/catachans for $150

ill post some more detailed pics of the vendetta when i get a chance

the green is catachan green with a heavy sepia wash then highlighted with camo green and a very very light drybrush of codex grey, i then weather it with streaks of ogryn flesh wash, testors rust brown and and orange for the rust highlights.

I may not have access to a camera until Sunday but i promise ill get some more shots of the valks' weapon mounts.

it looks like the side las cannons are on Leman Russ Sponson mounts.
Sons of Fenris they are, hardened in the forge of their harsh world, eager for battle and honour. The grey warriors, ashen like the wolf, whose greatest joy is to hear the clamour of steel amidst the din of war. None can step before them, they are the first, proud in their strength and jealous of their renown. Through the storms of the warp they come, upon the very tides of terror, but of such dangers they are uncaring. They are the Space Wolves, the Undefeated, the bane of the Emperors foes.

Yup. I'm just waiting for those belly planform shots to see how he mounted them. It's a really clever idea.
