Been a while, but I vinally finished painting my Valkyrie, also finally got my Arvus Lighter painted and assembled. They're not tanks, but they do have an armor value and they are cool looking!

and the Arvus...

Here's a cool pic of some of my stuff,
I'll post pics of the my entire Armored Company once I get my Shadowsword done...
Wow, Valkyries are a lot bigger than I thought![]()
I love how you've done the grey on the aircraft, looks very "military" if you know what I mean.

I've been applying some baggage to my vehicles prior to painting. These'll probably be among my last 40k vehicles, sadly. With the increase in prices and the cost of other kits - like the Sherman sitting in the background, for example - I fear GW have priced themselves out of my price-range.![]()
You know, I spent so much time making sure the heavy stubber glued in place parallel to and in the same elevation as the autocannon I never really looked at the heavy stubber itself. I wasn't sure if I should bother changing it but while looking at the turret earlier I dropped it, breaking the (already weakened) heavy stubber barrel and smoke launchers off, not too mention causing the magnetised HK missile to shoot across the room. So i've cut down a new heavy stubber and put it in place, I don't want it any shorter than it is now as I think it just wouldn't look right where it is fitting in the 'cowling'.Originally Posted by Getz

Do people think this looks better than the original longer barrelled version?
All I have to do on it now is the side skirts and find the HK missile, wherever it ended up.
Yeah, I like this version better. BTW, does anybody else have an opinion on the covering of my Helhound's lasgun ports. Honestly, the more I look at them the more I don't like either of them.
I'm afraid I have to agree - they both look a lot like a thing glued onto the side to cover the prts up...Back to the drawing board I think.

McMullet's avatar has poorly hands and so few postings will be written and they may be a little terse.
For my part I'm totally converted to the sticking of small wheels to the inside of the gunports. If I had any more lying around I might have bothered attempting another of this thread's ideas: two bits of plasticard placed under the hole so as to look as if there's an internal shutter system. Failing that, I'd be most likely to file the circular ports flat to the hull, then cover them with something else. Of course, there's always the option of hiding everything with stowage - but that isn't to everyone's taste.
I have tried two ways of getting rid of the gunports. The easiest was filing the area flat then adding plasticard plates, while the second was more involved as I decided to 'square off' the rear section of the vehicle using plasticard and GS - something best done before the top hull piece is glued in place. The picture shows both versions.

Just a Quick question guys, where does you get your lovely stowage for your vehicles? I need to know, as I like the "baggaged mule" look.
looks like a 1/48th scale.
Hello Eduard it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?
@Rictus - I like version #2 better with the green stuff and the baggage.
Thanks for teh tip off on 1/48, but where can I get such Items within the UK?
Tamiya has recently released a range of 1/48 scale WWII tanks, which are available from all good model shops

Eduard's right, it's 1/48. I picked up the Sherman and a Jagdpanther and a box of infantry and crew for Allied and German vehicles (all Tamiya, incidentally). Inadvertently I've picked up early war Germans to use with a Jagdpanther. D'oh! Anyway, as I say, 1/48 is now my scale of choice for reasons of cost, though I have several 1/35 kits half finished sitting around.Originally Posted by Robot 2000
I got the above (1/48 scale stuff) from the same store I got my stowage (1/35 scale). The only things I feel look badly out of place are the large rucksacks - but I fluff them away by saying that Ogryns would carry them. Of course I have no Ogryns . . .Forgeworld do stowage - but it's frightfully expensive, and I recognised several of the same 1/35 items I use on mine decorating an Armoured Company in WD ages ago. George Delapina's Armoured Company, perhaps?

Anyone got a moel store online that sells this stuff, because I cant afford Forgeworld Prices.
I've never used them, but you could try Hannants or these chaps.Originally Posted by Unique1
