New project for me to test out a colour scheme for my long planned Tallarn company, base colours are on, chipping done and gloss varnished ready for some washes, crap photos once again from me but 1 I'm too tight to buy a new camera and 2 I'm too tight to buy a new camera.

I really like this, it should shape up well. My only c&c is on the chipping - I think you could maybe do a bit more around the areas that are going to see the most wear. You've gone pretty heavy overall on the chipping, which is no bad thing, but in terms of "telling a story" I think there could be a few minor amendments that round it off. For example the front left wing of the tank; you've got a lot of heavy chipping on the side panels and on the left side of the gun housing/turret thing in the centres of the panels, but on the skirts by the tracks the chipping is relatively light, likewise the corners of the sponsons. These area are likely to get bashed about more, so will naturally be just as chipped, if not more so than the centre of the panels, therefore at the moment it doesn't look quite right. Areas like these and around hatches and the fuel drums are likely to take the most abuse and as you've gone for a heavily worn scheme I think these need a little more touching up.

Going to be a really nice looking tank.

Tinners: I have not posted here for what seems an age, however I keep checking in to see what you are up to. I hope your new project car is armoured or at least has some tracks on it!! Perhaps an IG paint job or is that too much to hope for? Still you will be missed.

Just finished work on a Hellhound.

I've magnetised all the weapons so I use whichever of the Hellhound, Devildog or Banewolf the situation requires with whichever hull weapons seems appropriate at the time.

@Sovietred: Love the conversion kit for the SPA. I tried clicking on the link to your site, but it doesn't load! What are you selling the kits for?

    Mate,

Great vehicles. You're track guards are the best I have seen. Just one minor point. Add some head and tail lights on the guards and I will be buying for sure.

An all new hull you say, Sovietred... that's interesting. I only hope it keeps at least some dimensional measurements with the Chimera so that your beautiful upgrade systems can still be applied to Chimera hulls as well as your new hull.

Thanks all, glad you like it though credit must go to penguin of death for the idea of the tracks, think its been on here before and works better with the new style turret, kinda why i had to rebuild the hull as didn't look right. Anyway this pic seemed to go down well on ammobunker and thought it would be relevant to this thread

My WIP pile of tanks from the other day, bit more progress has been made but no recent photos

    btw SPG looks great Sovietred,
Matt 17, nice work on the hellhound, crisp painting
Panzerpilot, liking the camo on the panzer russ but does look like it needs more rivets or may be some more stowage

Nice clean build on the panzer russ. All the ingredients are there for a nice tank, top stuff.

Just needs that bit of "super detailing" to take it to the top level (stowage, rivets, tow cables, little bit of damage, etc). Solid basic design and well executed, will be nice to see a squad of them (I guess that's the way you are headed with the WIPs!).

Oooh nice "things with tracks" lol. Shouldn't that read "Masterpieces on tracks"?
