being the only PCRC member to not have posted a project log yet and with darkstars immenantly on the horizon (ie next weekend) and panic painting in full swing i though it was about time to get my log up and running.

Waargh Gogwort: the galactic conquest of the "mushroom of the gods".
(figured as humans personify everything, orks being fungoid would fungify everything. so Gogwort = mushroom of the gods = prophet/chosen one/king by divine right)

the army in question: bad moons

we are going for lots of dakka and lots of flash.

the army currently stands at 220 ish infantry 22 vehicles 12 bikes

i won't bother posting all of da boys as there are bundles of them i'll just pop a couple of the most interesting ones up here (unless i get requests for full army shots OFC ).

got a bit fed up of the standard vehicles being too small to hold the passengers they are supposed too. simple solution: make em bigger. here are a couple of my trukks both capable of holding 12 orks:

couldn't find a suitable nob to lead my freebooter pirates so i had to build one based on the biggest character model i could find (of course he has a squig parrot! bit of a beggar to sculpt, many many feathers) known as Boss Wazgor and Mr Ron:

have also started work on transport for my flash gitz, also inspired by a suggestion by apologist. (it was a while ago and he has since forgotten what he said so will have to find out with the rest of you)

tonight's update:
this evening's work consisted of building the transport for my flash gitz and big mek. was hoping to have it finished but seem to be progressing slower than hoped.
WIP photos:

need a bit of help on the designing front.
i have a small ammount of plastic tube, a spool of wire and 1 sheet of black plasticard left.

need to make a zzap gun (to be mounted on top of the head)

still have to build the tail (to balance the model). needs to look like it can swing from side to side with a wrecking ball on the end. how do i make it look like it can swing?

it has to be easy to do as i have to finish this and paint all the other vehicles by the end of friday!!!

P.S. challenge is set: have to scratch build a warboss from green stuff and wire tomorrow in between painting 12 bikers and a big mek. can it be done?

the idea is that the internal hydraulics allow it to be swung as a weapon. counting it as a wrecking ball upgrade.

just a quick update on army progress.
these are all the vehicles i have built over the last two weeks for my darkstars army.

problem: they all have to be painted by the end of friday. aaargh

i said i was hoping to have built my warboss and painted my bikers by the end of monday.
total fail on both accounts. but here are some WIP shots of my warboss, with an old badmoon warboss and a paintpot in the shot for size comparison:




as you may have guessed, my warboss also has to be finished by the end of friday!!!

Seriously, Lord Blood – you build faster than anyone: you sure you're not a mek in disguise? In particular, I'm loving the mechanical squiggoth-battlewagon. You tempted to add a 'poop-shoota' as a defensive/chemical warfare weapon on the back?

Better get painting, my friend – I think the whole PCRC's in a panic at the mo!
