Ooh, I like the fleshy parts on these models. Are you going to incorporate that in the Warhound as well? Would probably, quite possibly look reaheally groovy!

I agree with Malkkis...wish I had that kind of cash! Lucky guy! If it's anything like the CSM colour scheme it'll look ace!

I am so glad you're doing this project log. If I can't afford to buy a warhound titan, at least I can follow you vicariously as yours takes shape!

Until Forgeworld decided to bring out a chaos Reaver Titan this is my favourite large model.

I am very much looking forward to see your project progressing, good luck.

Congrates mate, its a really lovely kit, and will look great witht he rest of your army.

When i did mine i found that the knee joints had a little bit of a gap, easily fixed with some plasticard.

Good luck, its a mammoth build, but very worth it.

    Cheers

Re: Chaos Warhound:- Step by step

    Thanks for all the encoragment.

@Tonberry Yes I am going to order a trophy style base like the one my revanant is standing on, pictures in Eldar log.

@Sheep Thanks for the tip built one leg without any problems be will keep in mind when building the second.

I think I have put the leg on too straight so will have to have the titan mid stride.

As always any helpful hints and tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks Synapse. I've really enjoyed it so far. Done some more sticking but due to a super glue falling over accident not as much as I would have liked! Ordered the base so when that arrives I will be pinning what I have to it so I can glue the hips onto the leg.

The hips are fully stuck but like I said not onto the legs.

Did a wee bit of painting.

    Thanks

It's looking good. I assembled an imperial one in the last month, am on the painting stages.

Seems like you're going for a fairly upright pose, which will make it easier to get the hips right. I'd reccommend painting the interiors before sticking the halves of the carapace together, it's tricky to get a paintbrush in there otherwise.

That's way cool. I've wanted a Warhound Titan for a long time. I just don't have the money to spare. If I didn't have this silly univeristy to attend, i just might get one.

Anyone it is looking. I alwasy wondered if you could use good old plastic glue for resin. I like plastic glue better than super glue. So in closing what the heck do you use?

Super glue, plastic glue does not work at all! Make sure its good quality one too though, like Zap-a-gap, thats what i use on resin.

You need to use super-glue... I agree with sheep on zap-a-gap, best stuff I've ever used. Plastic glue (polyester cement) doesn't work on resin because it's basically a solvent. It works by dissolving the plastic and melting it together (you may notice 2 pieces pretty much become one and very hard to break apart). Resin simply has nothing that plastic glue can dissolve.

Also wash your resin models in cold soapy water BEFORE doing anything to them. They can still be coated in the mold releasing agent when shipped. This is why paint sometimes just peels off.
