Most AoD's ban Annoyance of nettlings for a reason
Well maybe he'll be the one to be taken down by the hail of doom arrow ; )
Sorry, I'm new to this so I didn't make any restrictions on those things. But hey, it's suppose to be but and who knows what will happen once the dice get rolling.
Just need 6 more people now...

Well, since he specifically DIDN'T ban 'challenge items' I thought I'd have a go...Feel free to toss them if it's a big bother.
Courage and skill! Luck is for the unprepared.
Nope, no problem. He only has two wounds so you never know what can happen : )
(I'll be smarter next time.)

Wartface McUgly was never what you would call a 'good looking ogre'.
(But then again, what ogre is?) Shunned by all the male ogres in her
tribe (and not big enough to force any of them) she was left unsatisfied
and without a mate.
One day while taking a strole on a near by beach she saw him. He was big
(but not too big), he was strong (but not too strong), and he had all
the handsome looks you'd expect of a troll. Yes it was a troll, but
Wartface was completely in love.
After a period that can only be described as unnatural and ungodly
horrifying Wartface bacame pregnant... With twins!
The two boys born a few month later were tougher than regular babies (as
could be clearly seen when they fell over and didn't feel it) however
they were also dumber (as could be clearly seen when they fell over and
didn't notice it).
Now full grown they have gone off to find glory at the arena! (Plus
their parents told them to...)

Not to defend the selection, but the rules as provided didn't say no...yes, I'm a jerk.
Courage and skill! Luck is for the unprepared.
Reading through the characters again I noticed that both the vampires (I think they have it) and the branchwraith (I -know- they have it) failed to mention that they had the flammable rule. This is important as several people, like me for example, have or may have flaming attacks.
For this reason I hope i draw the brachwraith, my alter will murder it. He gets no save at all against the Hail of Doom arrow, followed by 5 flaming attacks, one of them has to hit after all. Take that you rule abusing law monkey! (yes, i am fully aware that I myself am being utterly cheap by taking the arrow in the first place.)

Nope. They're not flammable.Originally Posted by weirdo2590

weirdo2590, I hope, that I face your alter Kindred with my Swordmaster....As long as I get into combat, you are dead. Thank god for Dragon armour and its immunity to fire.
Either the Alter or the Herald of Tzeetch (sp?)....to quote MC hammer "Can't touch this"

This unlikely pair was brought together through the slaying of a common foe, a red dragon.

- Fear, Stupidity
Tactics: Harpoon them, and then Harpoon them againI'm an Ogre I can handle it… (I'll take the charge and Stand and Shoot)
I might try to elaborate a little more later (it is kinda late)... I didn't want to miss out on this fun, and thought I'd try to contribute something different. And since my other armies are a) represented a lot Vampire Counts and/or b) virtually not allowed Bretonnians... I figured I'd throw down some stuff from armies that I've never played, and see how it goes.
AAAARRRRGGGHH!!! Dangnabit! How I hate Ogres, my awesome luck against them still holds true, even when someone else rolls the dice....Didn't even kill one of them....AAAARRRGGHH!!!
Oh well, maybe next time.
Ethriel, I still have three spots left, so if you are someone else that is eliminated wants to re-enter until it's filled up that's fine with me.
Better than me just filling it up with random characters.

query, in the event of drawing the sword master, could i just opt not to attack with the blades? ie. loose +1 attack for 2 hand weapons and flaming, thus actualy be able to hurt it
You mean the swordmaster that already fought the ogre brothers? (You might want to go check out how that fight went...)
In the case where a character fighting with a flaming weapon fought someone immune to fire, I would make them go one round normally so the hero can 'learn' that he can't hurt the opponent (assuming that he hits and wounds), and then have them switch to a handweapon in the next round (although you can't normally change weapons).
