Oh yes! I was a bit worried as the daemon and the warrior seemed strong, but the vampires prevailed.

Katapekt growled as Kalcipos let the black magic seep to the wound in Katapekt's hip. The blood gem had saved him from dying, but how long would its protective power last? 'Did you see the female in the crowd?', Katapekt asked his mad brother. 'Nyargh', was Kalcipos's answer. 'Agreed. This tournament just got a whole lot more interesting.', Katapekt whispered and smiled grimly.

yeah its abit odd he would give you a spell you cant even caste... Im abit surpised the exalted went down so easily however, hmm, i knew i should have taken a Nurgle daemon

The spell used is random, unless you specify differently in your tactics (like the one player that would always downgrade to bears anger).

The only spells ignored and rerolled are ones that make new units.

Tough luck logan054. That chaos champian should have done a LOT better, but with a huge helping of bad luck, mixed in with some good luck for his opponent, it was all over.

bear in mind i was on the receiving end of that i really suggest you either give them a extra dice or just narrow the list down to ones they can caste and roll (say 3 and roll a D3). I just think it would make it better for those who are casters.

Well that was rather shocking, i make new characters expecting the others to die and the new ones die while the new ones make it through, lol, i should have had more faith.

Bwahahaha. That went even worse than I thought it would. I was thinking of 11ish attacks between the two they could at least do ONE wound. Oh well. Good luck to the quarter finals teams!

Next match is going to be interesting. I have two characters with saves that can't be negated, even by Killing Blow. On the other hand, my opponent's ability to hit hard is quite handy. If he can force enough saves the two brothers will eventually die.

I'm going to enjoy that one...

i think im alot more worried about your vampires than they should be off mine...

but what an effort from my dwarf taking out both without even needing to call in his partner. lets hope his 1+ save stays strong

Woo! The vamps are going strong. I was very worried that the beastman would rip them to shreds, but not this time. Nice rolling and writing Malorian.

It was Kalcipos's time to whinge and wail as Katapekt healed his wounds. 'Shut up runt', Katapekt growled, 'Fight better and this wouldn't be necessary.' Kalcipos bit his teeth together and didn't make a sound. 'That's better little brother.', Katapekt said, 'Don't worry. You'll get to taste the sweet vitae of that vampire woman after this is over.' The face of Kalcipos twisted into a vile grin.

I have been corrected. Yes, Regeneration does'nt work against Killing Blow. Luckily I still have my Ward save and D6 S5 hits before we start. Going to be fun tomorrow.
