Daemon Army - Currently under progress
http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151572
Pics of progress will be forthcoming- my sister's camera has been out of reach for a while ad she's bugging out to Croatia tomorrow- leaving me a short window of opportunity to snap and upload tonight.
carapace has been worked on a fair bit- arms attached. Going to Lidl now in a bit to find suitable barrels for the two laser blasters (3 barrels each)
Impressive....
I do feel you may eed to build another reaver and call them bill and ben (people outside of the UK might not get that)
I like it though, coming togehter really well so far.

Ever wondered why Maths seemed so hard?
"Everytime I see a maths problem it looks like this: If I have 10 ice cubes and you have 11 apples, how many pancakes would it take to cover the roof.
- ANSWER - Purple, because aliens don't wear hats..."
I get it, trust me.
A shot of the new carapace- and how the arms attach on. Its not detail time yet- but i couldn't resist adding some eye detail to one eye- the sensors and cameras you see in the FW one. I unsuccessfully tried to get a shot of the detail.. maybe later.
having crotch problems(the reaver's not mine....)
have to reattach its ball joints in the legs and stuff- added an 'ass' for all intents and purposes to house the pivot and provide purchase for screws later.

Weapons!!!11!
It will be armed with two laserblasters and a apoc. missile launcher.
laser blasters: Lidl pens.
Found these nice pens with lascannon style ribbing- perfect for huge lasers.
They attach to a milk bottle lid- which will be glued on to a tube i made which fits snugly into the arm mount.
This should enable interchangeable weapons- should my client require further armaments to smite his foes.
and how it will look mounted:
Suggestions welcome for structure, basing and detailing.
Ruh roh raggy.
Turns out he wanted 3x gatling lasers I had to run to lidl to get another pack o' pens.
Titan is nearing completion- needs a pivot joint in the hips.
I've worked some pistons into the toes- now off to finish the face!
Hello there, very impressive stuff. May I ask what you use for the cheek cables?
some weird girl hair thing i found in the 2 euro store. Its a twist of wire inside a soft foam tube- capped at each end by a plastic button thing. It holds shape well- i imagine its used to hold hairstyles in place.
It also holds spray paint surprisingly well- meaning it should hold GW paint.
Possibly the last pics you'll see of the Reaver in my possession. Tomorrow it goes to its owner.
Photos courtesy of my friends cameraphone
The knee plate. Its made from a cadburys cocoa container- same material as the crotchplate. The skull was sculpted in milliput fine before tube from a pen was added for bionic eye. It was then glued onto a cut-out card cog (alliteration at its finest ladies and gentlemen)
The reaver as it stands. Its getting upgrade work tonight- rivets and 2 double D batteries to give it some weight at the back (its tilted too much forward)

really nice titans you're making, you bring hope to us all that we can make things like this ourselves!![]()
All 3 titans took part in the final chapter of our bell of lost souls Age of heresy campaign- the assault on the Emperors Palace.
The Warlord observes the rebel advance- note the defense lasers on the gate!
Reaver pounds the palace void shields.
Warhound creates , then exploits a breach, supported by plague towers.
A really fun game- warlord was predictably destroyed... in hindsight i could have kept my gatling blaster instead of fitting the more Impressive plasma destructor. Could have taken out the Reaver's shields with its 6 strength 8 ordnance shots then hammered it with turbolasers and volcano.
We were allowing the traitors to recycle superheavies though... so it may have just walked back on.
The titans wreaked absolute havok- the reaver mainly confined itself to staying back out of lascannon range and waiting for the void shields to go down on a section of wall before ripping it asunder with laserblasters.
Once i destroyed 3 of the controlling player's landraiders in 1 volcano cannon shot his priorities changed... my warlord had its shields torn asunder by lascannons and then the Reaver opened fire with its 9 D shots.
In other fun stuff-I sallied forth my pre-heresy (MK1 beakies) blood angels against the death guard and sanginius fought a bloodthirster to a standstill.
Traitor victory... but lots of fun.
now. Time to build....
A Gargant.
Another family photo
(moar pics of that battle here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pukeface/page4/ - i'm the guy in the khaki green t-shirt in pic 0542 )
My gargant will be a great gargant , based loosely on the abilities of the BoLS data sheet. It will have the fun guns- lifta droppa and titan ccw.
It will have a crotch assault ramp that is landraider-esque and its belly cannon will be a belly cannon, not a phallus.
And hopefully it will accomodate foam sheets to tranport more boys- because if you are going to an apocalypse game with Guard, orks or nids- you need more space.
That picture is awesome. Also, the warlord titan is just breath taking.
Heresy and Wo! We are beset by brutish invaders.
In reply to Kris, 'Da mek boyz' of the Bad moons clan have overrun a section of forgeworld Antonius and are currently hijacking the power cranes and hyper welders to construct a gargant.
Skitarri patrols are being pushed back by waves of ork heavy infantry and ambushing elites but are reaping a fearful toll. Although Antonius has no fully constructed titans at present, A warlord of Legio Metalica is enroute to try combat this menace but despite our best efforts it appears as though they will complete the construction long before they arrive. The battle for the southern continent of Antonia Prime looks certain to be an apocalyptic one.
Our orbital scryers indicate that each blade on its Titan Chain Sword is being individually crafted. They look like 10 foot 'choppas' and are forged from Adamantine crystal scavenged from the 'temple of the Omnissiah unbound' into which their rok crashed. This sacrilege has caused some of our senior magi to shut down in shock- they have had to undertake a hard reboot with servo-defibrillators .
Orbital images to follow.
Orbital images.
In this image we see the chain blades on the left and the anti boarding spikes (ABS) on the right.
The anti boarding 'spikes' are actually gigantic armoured plates welded to the outer hull of the gargant, with bladed ends. Forged from single massive sheets of metal they cover up much of the weak patchwork surface of the gargant which could easily provide footholds for boarding troops. The bladed top presents a serious hazard for Jump troops who may try and scale the Ork warmachine.
The following image shows the gargants lower body being fitted with ABS.

Chainsaw nearing completion. As an aside, would this be properly called a titan chainfist?

Ok.... finally some progress.
I've armed the Gargant with a supa shoota and chainfist, and upgunned it to a Great Gargant.
The thing was just too huge to have as a slasha garagant- I saw the Armourcast geat gargant that bols has and laughed.
I haven't modeled Skorchas for it yet. I might not. I'm thinking instead of the Bols rules I may add a battery of grot bommz and maybe give it the monolith thing that inflicts D6 S5 ap4 hits on enemy units within 36''.
If there are no enemy units within 36... your opponent picks a friendly unit within 36... preferably an ally but possibly Orks. After all, da boyz is gettin bored just waitin.
That represents the hail of big shoota fire from firing slits and mounted weapons.
The Front ramp(couldn't make it lowerable without making the gargant unstable... sorry.
The Supa Shoota

Scale shots
What you can't see very well in these shots is the rivets I've put on to the black portion. I found an ingenious method online- using a syringe (plenty lying around, this is Tallaght after all) to put tiny blobs of PVA on. It knocks out rivets very fast, applying them directly to the surface and the faster and more irregular you do it, the orkier it is!
The black portion now consists of a patchwork of overlapping plates with rivets. In finla detailing i'll put some corrogated card there and some Ork Glyphs.
Now Kris- Your thoughts.
Are you happy enough with the chainfist?
What kind of glyphs you want on? Any clan symbols?
I have the dead yet to do, and the engine block.
What do you think of allowing the head to open so you can place models in the bridge and see a krew of grots firing the Gaze of mork cannon?
Final pics
The crows nest
Sideways pic- but you see the freeboota symbol. Also the raised eyebrow over the eve of mork.
The bridge. Kris can add all the detail he wants- Ork banners, captured marine banners, computa consoles and an Ork throne for the Gargant boss.
The eye of gork cannon should be attended by grotz and maybe a mek.
Note, like all evil overlords, the entrance is at the rear, facilitating a swift retreat, or sneaky heroes infiltrating behind them.
Theres a thousand things i could do to this but i need to hand it over- I've o time and my ma is sick of it staring at her in the kitchen!
