Hey tony- they look ace! The variation on the shields has worked really well- I really like the armour too. Not surprised you are getting side tracked by your trolls- painting beards and armour can get a bit repetitive. Still- two great logs going- enjoying both! Keep it up.

Re: Repainting my dwarfs... all metal

I finally got myself together and painted up some more dwarfs! Here are my first artillery pieces, an Organ Gun, Grudgethrower and Cannon.
I also painted two Bolt Throwers but still need to paint the crew for them, which i dont really have.
Well here are the pictures and i hope soon to finish all my dwarfs! Not that i dont love them, it just gets a bit repetitive after more than 100 models.

Re: Repainting my dwarfs... all metal

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Here is something I cooked up today... Needing a new battlestandard bearer I looked through my leftover models and my bits and made up this guy:

If anyone should wonder, its an old Ironbreaker model with his shield arm and axe removed (and repaired where they were). An empire knights standard and the top from bugman plus two horns from warriors of chaos knights. Knight of the white wolf left arm with a dwarf hammer of some sort. I think it turned out pretty good, a unique character with a nostalgic feel...

You cannot have to painting logs and both be WIP, and both is going faster than my singel army.. I am not pleased with this.. Hopefully January will give me some time to finish of some of the larger units catch up on your enormous headstart... God damn geek boy! Don't you do nothing but paint and model in Beijing?

Trying to find old dwarf models from ebay, but they are all snatched from me at the last second (fx. two old bolt throwers) and i am suspecting you Welf, for being the culprit

I have some stuff to show acutally, and as soon as i come home from vacation i will show them.

Innocent till proven guilty is my motto.

But actually, I wasn't involved in any attempt to buy bolt throwers recently. In fact, I bought mine second hand at my local indy. But perhaps two are just not enough and I should join the race for them?

At the moment I am more after Gnomes and Orc and Human Civilians, as those dwarfs I am really missing seem to be as rare as a snowball in hell.

If you're after old Imperial Dwarfs and don't mind about missing tags, I might have some spares for you.

YES! There will soon be updates. But right now i am on vacation, with a bad cold... And NO WARHAMMER!!! So when i get home to my warhammer, i will take some pictures of my recently finished projects, such as the transformation of the old anvil to a newer version.

    @Welf: PM underway!

Re: Repainting my dwarfs... all metal

FINALLY an update. A small one though, but an update...
Here is the anvil o'doom. Its (obviously) a conversion of the old anvil. The base is made from plasticard and the anvil guards are made from two old hammerers that i have shamelessly cut the faces off and made some helmets. One shield is missing though. Dont know exactly how it happened, but probably on my travel from denmark to china.
    Here are the pictures:

Still have quite alot to do for this army actually... And it keeps growing.
On my to do list are:
    15 Miners
    20 warriors (curtesy welf III)
    10 Quarrellers
    20 Thunderers
    Organ Gun
    Gyrocopter
    2 Bolt throwers
    and probably some more...
