    WarSeer's First Official Tournament

I'm just checking to see how many people would be interested in an Official Tournament in 6 months time? It would be based somewhere in the UK and hopefully would bring the WarSeer chapter to battle for the first time.

I won't bother with a poll as they seem pointless, just reply with thoughts on this. Ideally I would like to make this something serious and try to bring in people from GW or other gaming companies to show their wares but somehow I doubt it will end up more than a glorified pub crawl.

Sounds like a plan, maybe I'll learn to play, but I don't know, it almost seems worth it just to meet some of you guys and gals.

    Sound great.

Depends on numbers. If we want an easy life GWHQ is always an option but that can be rather expensive. I'm just really after an idea of what people want and how we can fund the event (there is money in the WarSeer kitty if needed)

That is always possible. Lavfuris did the portent tournaments but I'm after any other ideas before deciding if we should go with the same format or not.

    Re: WarSeer's First Official Tournament

Although I have been there myself already, Warhammer World would be an interesting location for all who have not been there. It may be a good idea to do it in Nottingham.

Personally I really would like to come, but there are some details to be sorted on my side (e.g. time, family and money) and to be honest, it is not very likely.

    Have fun,

    Rolf.

    Oooh. Sounds very tempting.

I may even have my Reavers painted up by then. Now off I go to imagine more ways to strap corpses and red paint and blades to Chimeras...

Travel from the northish of Scotland to anywhere down south isn't exactly cheap, and I can't drive...plus from the Gamesday Gathering pictures and the old Portent pictures your a scary bunch of ba****ds.

    Would be pretty funny though.

To be honest i kinda view Carnage as the Portent/Warseer thing myself, it depends really as thats always my first option. Surely a Warseer supported Carnage tournament would be a better and more viable option?

    Re: WarSeer's First Official Tournament

I agree with Red, surely it would be more advisable to amlgamate with the continuing Carnage tournaments than it would be to set up alone without the experience and knowledge the previous events have brought?

Not to mention you won't be dividing each others 'fanbase', most gamers can't afford two weekends away at the same time of year.

Only thing is there only going to be three carnages next year IIRC, so selecting one will be the problem

What's wrong with the Carnage tournaments?
Why not simply expand a Carnage event to act as the big daddy Warseer-based Tournament of the year?

    Re: WarSeer's First Official Tournament

Sounds good, but arent the two Tale of 8 Gamers planning to end up at Carnage in March?

By my calculations, a Warseer tourney / campaign / whatever, in 6 months time would put it very very close.

I for one would only probably attend the Carnage one. Not out of any disloyalty or choice, but cos I'm signed up to Tale of 8 Gamers, and cant really justify 2 tourneys in a month or 2. (I have to pay Mrs Crube some attention sometime...)

So I'd go with making the Carnage Tournaments 'WarSeer Approved' personally.

I'm just after considering all the possibilities. I don't see a problem with Carnage, but I want to consider all options and take any other ideas.
