Though I would have thought it would have been better to just forget about the base and glue the tech priest directly into the titan, for a start it will help protect those fragile arms as they'll stay safely tucked away inside the titan hull!

    I'm gonna agree with Shini.

    Heresy!!

    Enjoy your vacation, ...HERETIC!!!

J/K can't wait to see more on this wonderful model.
Me: Alright, Doom and Guide went of without a hitch. Now for the Bladestorm.

Ok, here's why there's been no progress. I'm out of airbrush propellant, so I'm using the time to catch up on my SM and IG unpainted models whilst I look for some more.

Gah! I finally have an update for this project, and I can't find the cables to connect my camera to the computer!

    Since the last update:

    Laser Blasters assembled.
Legs are now posed without pistons.
    Front of the Torso assembled.
Missile Launcher magnetised so it can tilt with a ferrite strip and a Rare Earth Magnet.
Head magnetised onto torso for disassembly.
    Thighs magnetised for disassembly.
    Weapons magnetised for interchangebility/disassembly.

Most importantly, with the exception of the arms, the whole thing now holds together and I've got a nice picture of it towering over my warhound. shame I can't share it right now, I'll try and get photos up asap.

Ok, I've got my phone camera connected, it will just have to do.

This is my titan as it stands at the moment. none of the armour plates are glued on, they're all just dry fit, and the torso balances on the hips without being glued. I'll upload more detailed pics of what I've done when I get back from mey lecture in an hour.

Re: FW Reaver #025 My Log

    More Pics!
First two pics show the laser blasters' magnets and how they hold on firmly. they hold on so well I had to seperate the magnets with some green stuff to prevent them pulling out of their sockets! Its the same magnet combination that I used for my warhound, 2x 15mmdiax2mmthick, but work even better despite the extra weight because the centre of gravity is more under the magnets.
The 3rd-5th pics show the ferrite strip and magnet used to hold the missile launcher in place. It can tilt to any position as shown in pics 4 and 5.
Pic 6 shows how the head is held on with magnets.
Pic 7 shows the magnets in the thighs.

    Next to do:
I'm putting a paid of magnets in the waist, but they'll need some pins as well to prevent rotation.

I've started painting the interior. I've just about finished the laser blaster servitors. Will maybe be pics of the tech-priest's stations next week.

Quiet you! I have absolutely 0 income, I'm 19 and haven't studied during the autumn, as such, I have gotten no funds from the government and, due to problem in governmental paperwork, I have not been able to aquire papers needed to get any of several jobs I was after.

As such, whatever little money I manage to get either goes into a fund which I'm gonna use to restore my Chaos army after several cat and child accidents (friends of the family, dinners, me away training, friends of family put children in my room, parents allow it, cue, army mayhem), or it goes to paying aikido practice/having a good time with cute female friend of mine.

As such... I can NOT afford this... quit tempting me you!

    ... although Christmas IS close

if parents allowed kids in your room they should pay for the damages...

and ok i can understand cute girl stuff...

    good luck with her,

    and yes christmass IS close

you could always turn it into a traitor reaver to go with your chaos army

then it kinda IS like rebuilding it

I doubt the armies of the Old World would look kindly upon a reaver from the Imperium of Man

I'm ordering my Reaver soon and like your magnet work. What size magnet's did you use for the head and legs?

Re: FW Reaver #025 My Log

The size I've used are 15mm diameter x 2mm thick. You need a 15mm flat headed drill to make sockets for them.

Believe me, taking a massive drill to a £550 model for the first time is nerve-wracking.

Re: FW Reaver #025 My Log

Have magnetised the waist. 2x 15mm by 2mm magnets and 3 pins (aka 1 repurposed paperclip) hold it firmly together.

I've also glued on all the hip and waist pistons. Again, this showed how close to the limits my reaver's pose is. I had to trim off several bits of some of the piston heads in order to get them to fit properly.

Did some calculations with regards to true height of a reaver. It's 16.5"/420mm tall. An approximately 2.5m space marine stands 35mm high. A Reaver is therefore 30m tall.
