Hey Putty,
very nice Job. I'm a big fan of the wulfrik mini. He looks like he's chillin, really drunk that is. The steam tanks look ace, very daunting prospective to meet those two on the battle field.
cheers

Witch hunters, Death Guard, Orcs and Goblins, Space Orks, Vampire counts, Renegades and more
Cheers Tim... If you ever do the Wulfrik mini yourself, you might consider cutting off his beard totally and GS it on after you stick the head into the shoulder. The model was designed poorly as you can't pose the head properly.
Today... 4 of my own Flamers.

Lovely work. I think I like the blue one the most.
Cheers Logarithm Udgaur and mrtn!
I will be eventually painting more blue Flamers (maybe even some yellow & green ones).
And a sneak preview of tomorrow's madness:

2 days of work and they are finally assembled but no GS done yet (especially on the boobsnake)

You have some nasty Chaos stuff man.... If those 4 guys teamed up, they would beat the crap out of the Empire.

They don't look all that simple to me.
How did you paint these?

There is two tricks i used.
A white basecoat / primer
airbrush and vallejo inks.
the airbrush does the blending when i let the colours meet in the middle.
After that i pick out the details with bonewhite and wash it down with brown. There is very little actual paint used for this flamers... 90% is all inked on. The model is later sealed with a matt varnish so that the model absorbs light rather than reflect it.
They look sick! If you have enough, you should really rank them up and take a pic, preferably ranked up AND beating the crap out of some other regiment, like Empire swordsmen or something.
I would dare bet you have the best looking Flamers anyone has ever had. They're simply amazing, and while your technique may not be that difficult (to you), not many people do it so it's probably very unique.

Your flamers make a compelling argument in favor of my buying an airbrush. Simply beautiful.
