Thread: Are Flamers and Lord of Change any good?

Are Flamers and Lord of Change any good?

I have a Thousand Sons army I'm thinking of getting rid of. Would it be worth it to piece the thing out in order to keep the Flamers and Lord of Change for my future Chaos army? Or would it be better just to get as good a price I can on the whole lot and go with something else?

Basically, what would you do in this situation?

Well, what I would do, matters on how much time you have to get rid of the army. I personally would keep the models I already have especially since I would be using them again, then sell the rest as a 1500 or some odd point list on ebay, then failing that piece it out. But as a rehash keep the deamons sell the rest in a group.

I have plenty of time to sell the army. There's no rush there.

Do I have any need for 10 Flamers in a Chaos army? It looks like th emost you can have is four, unless you want two groups of Horrors.

Or if you go for a Daemonic Legion of Tzeentch. Throw in two good sized Horror units and maybe a small shoal of Screamers and you're almost at the 2k mark already! And Flamer skirmishing units are... good, to say the least!

I'd definitely keep the Lord of Change. He can be very effective in fantasy, altough quite expensive pts wise. The flamers depend on what you want to play, really. If you're starting a daemonic legion, I'd definitely keep them, since they can be brought in separate skirmish units there (plus they can be used for flamers on discs or tzeentch chariot conversions). If going for a mortal/mixed army, I wouldn't bother that much.
